"So Coté Jardin is in our neighborhood. We moved to the Petit Juas section of Cannes not that long ago. Just a 3 min walk from our house, Côté Jardin had been recommended to us to try but we had just not gotten there when over the holidays (end of 2016) we saw that they were closed for renovations. We vowed to go as soon as they reopened. So on their 3rd day open we stopped in for lunch. Of course never having been before, it is impossible for us to compare before and after renovations. And it was not until we read the local paper a couple days later that we learned, the restaurant had new owners as well as being renovated. So this is a review of the new Côté Jardin with no prior knowledge of how it was under the former owners. First, we had a lovely lunch. We were greeted and seated in their sun room. A tastefully and smartly redone room that is enclosed with sliding windows and a glass roof. The day we went, it had rained but we felt like we were outside because of all of the glass sliders. The perfect way to be "outside" on inclement weather days. We had been attracted and motivated to give this place a try because of their exceptionally well-priced plat du jour - 12€! To be honest I wasn't expecting too much at that price so was pleasantly surprised when we had an extremely tasty and well-seasoned lunch. The presentation was correct but not overly sophisticated but then this is not that kind of resto. (see my pics) My husband got the plat du jour - lapin aux champignons and I had a the pavé de boeuf, cooked exactly to my requested specs, saignant. The staff was friendly, attentive and seemed to have a good handle on running the restaurant. Of course from the article in the Nice-Matin we learned that the new owners are also the owners of L'Antidote, also located in Cannes. Having been well received at a lunch several months back at L'Antidote, we could understand why the new Coté Jardin was running so smooth right out the gate. If I was to give any "ding" it would be the silverware. Attractive to the eye but awkward and slippery in the hand. But this is minor and certainly did not dampen our lovely lunch. We are happy to have this hidden jewel right in our neighborhood and look forward to returning soon. We recommend you give it a try too!"

We tried this restaurant after reading positive reviews and we were not disappointed. On our Friday evening visit the restaurant was occupied entirely by French speakers, however the staff could not have been more helpful & welcoming to us. The food was extremely good and such a pleasant surprise when the bill arrived @30% less than similar establishments nearer the portWill be going back next time in Cannes

The restaurant is in a quiet residential area, mixed with holiday apartments, tucked away about 15 minutes walk from the Croisette and the hustle, bustle and crazy prices of Cannes. It also offered the best meal by far in a five day business trip, informal courtyard dining for a third of the price of places in the centre of town. Excellent cooking, exquisently presented. Far from the maddening crowd. Loved it.

This place is definitely worth a visit. You'll pay half as much and get double as much in return in terms of quality compared to any of the restaurants in the touristy area. Please don't even consider dining at Rue Saint-Antoine, or you'll be treated as a tourist, eat like a tourist, and pay like a tourist. The Cote Jardin has a nice atmosphere (all locals), very nice food and a friendly staff. If you find another hidden gem like this in Cannes please let me know.

We came here following a recommenation from our hotel. We were told it was a bit expensive but I disagree, I thought the prices were extremely reasonable. This is the sort of restaurant I like to visit when I'm in France, where the menu changes enough that they don't print a menu, it is written on a blackboard. The food was excellent, packed with flavour. My fillet steak was cooked perfectly blue. Delcious! If I find myself in Cannes again I will definitely come back here.

My mother, myself and daughter (aged 10) went here on a recommendation. Whilst the food, prices and ambience is really super. The staff were SO unpleasant to my daughter. We all speak french and anything my daughter asked for was either ignored or answered with disdain. The waiter was so unkind to my daughter she became tearful. So if you have children don't go to this restaurant, if you are going without children give full french attitude!!! Oh yes don't forget to appreciate fab guitar man ...no-one else does!!

Under the new management of chef Christophe Ferré, who has another restaurant, ‘L’Antidote’, in Cannes, ‘Côté Jardin’ has been given a re-looking make-over. There’s a little aperitif corner at the entrance and, of course, the side garden, though it’s not what most northern Europeans would call a garden. Interior design is modern and pleasant. There’s a wide choice of dishes and the food is of a superior quality with unbeatable value for money. Ditto the wine. The value for money aspect of what is ‘gourmet’ food makes this restaurant a highly recommendable place. Service might need to be improved, but then again ‘service’ is a ‘Riviera’ problem not unique to ‘Côté’. There is wheelchair access...
