"Arrived not really knowing what to expect but chose this inn for its location as we planned visits to friends and family nearby. What a great decision it was to stay here. We were immediately welcomed by friendly staff. The inn serves excellent beer (Timothy Taylor’s which was our first pleasant discovery. The first night we also discovered what excellent food was served with imaginative touches to traditional dishes from the chef. Breakfast was equally great with very generous proportions. The inn was kept very busy with diners at lunchtime and in the evenings (certainly at the weekend and the six available guest rooms seemed fully occupied. We were glad we booked some time in advance for the four nights we stayed. So booking is recommended for diners, and early booking for overnight guests its certainly worth it. All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, no matter how busy they were. All brilliant at multi tasking! The food on our other evenings did not disappoint, and breakfast was consistently good. The only slight drawback was an intermittent wifi but this certainly would not deter us from a repeat visit. As an added bonus we were able to top up charge our EV using a standard domestic socket outside the garage (where there was ample parking . Very slow charge but a boon before we set off again on a long trip when we left. (So if you drive an EV do pack an domestic supply three pin plug converter. Thank you to Jayne and all the staff for making our stay so great!"

We tried the crossroads after hearing good things and it did not disappoint. Lauren, our waitress, was very attentive and friendly. Food was spot on with plenty of choice on the menu. Will definitely return.

We had a wonderful time at Crossroads Inn with our two dogs. Jane and her team made us feel very welcome, despite the not-so-great weather. The venue, staff, delicious food, and beautiful surroundings more than made up for it. We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend staying here, especially for dog owners. Thank you, Crossroads Inn!

We arrived late for a one night stay. Excellent welcome. Checked in. Room perfect spotlessly clean, large bathroom. Had dinner in the restaurant delicious meal and wine could not fault it. Breakfast one of the best we had. Had freshfruit yoghurt and cereal. Full English breakfast perfectly cooked. Service friendly. All in all a lovely break. Would definitely stay again.

We have visited this pub on numerous occasions, with the bar lady Lauren always going above and beyond for us, nothing is ever too much to ask. Consistently provides such a lovely greeting, we leave feeling very satisfied each time. Food is amazing, one of the best places in Halifax. Always a lovely atmosphere with a great selection of draft beers, as well as a lovely Sunday Roast. Could not recommend the place more.

The vegan curry I had for lunch today was delicious. It was nicely spiced but not too hot, with a mix of vegetables including thin French beans, mushrooms and peppers. It came with 2 segments of naan bread and rice (mainly white plus some wild). The waiter was pleasant and helpful. I have enjoyed meals at Crossroads for many years: most recently, before today, veggie sausage and mash, and fish (fresh and nicely cooked), chips and mushy peas.

The food was delicious. My group went for Sunday dinner and I ordered the roast beef. I also got an extra side of cauliflower cheese because it's my favorite and I knew it was good here. I was very satisfied with my meal and had to be practically rolled out of the pub because I was so full. Some of my companions had starters as well, and I don't know how they managed to eat both because the portions are generous. Overall, it's a charming pub with excellent food.

This is a nice pub restaurant, with nice food and helpful friendly staff. I do not eat meat and I mostly avoid dairy food. (This is for animal cruelty and health reasons: I am medically qualified). I used to enjoy Crossroads' large Yorkshire puddings filled with veggie sausages and gravy and onions. Also their spinach and mushroom pie. Sadly these are no longer on the menu, and I struggle to know what to choose. My latest choice was a fish sandwich, which was just ok. (I'm not sure about English curries, when these are so good in Indian restaurants). Maybe best will be their veg tempura with added fries?

We went to this restaurant on a Saturday early evening with both adults and children in our group. We were looking for a simple and delicious meal, but what we received was an amazing dining experience. The food was exceptional and we are already thinking about returning to try more dishes. Some starters were unavailable on that particular Saturday, but it didn't matter as the ones we did try were all delicious and well-received. The main courses were also a hit with everyone at the table. The desserts were just the right size and left us satisfied. The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive without being intrusive. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience at this restau...
