"I really wanted to love this place. But we went for a roast dinner today, stated on the phone we wanted to book for a carvery. Got to mead Hall and told them we were booked for carvery.. not here you 're not! .. erm, we called to book a carvery yesterday.. you 're booked next door at the pub then! .. not the best or most friendly customer service! So we head off next door and tell them we specifically called yesterday to book a carvery.. oh ill try and find out what went wrong! .. We heard nothing else about it. So we decided to stay and have a roast. 2 adults, 2 children. We had a good 45 minute wait for our meals to arrive. While we were waiting we discovered that 2 of the 4 water glasses on the table either had lipstick on or were filthy.. When the meals did eventually arrive, the beef was tough as old boots, turkey was dry, yorkshires were so over cooked that they just broke up as soon as you put your fork in, veg was stone cold and the majority of it was raw! Kids meals were missing their yorkshire puddings and we had to ask for them. We ordered a bowl of 4 extra pugs in blankets, we also had to ask for these. When they came to the table it was 2 pigs in blankets (one of which was raw! and some stuffing. We asked the waitress to correct this, she then informed us that they had run out of pigs in blankets, hence the stuffing. So.. because we 'd promised the kids a pudding, against our better judgement we ordered pudding. Mine was served on a filthy plate. I dont care if I 'm not directly eating from the plate.. it should be clean! Mine also had a lovely garnish of a band of black plastic on top of it. All in all, despite this place being highly recommended, we won 't be returning. The service was ridiculously slow, food was below average. Pretty shocking to be honest! Won 't be returning and won 't be recommending."

Delicious, interesting and hearty food with really friendly service. The ribs were amazing and fell off the bone and the goats' cheese salad was the perfect portion.

This a lovely, cozy pub, build in 1500's. It feels like travelling back in time when visiting, specially the Meade Hall. The food is tasty, and the staff is ready to assist in every way possible.

We had a wonderful experience at this charming pub with an impressive menu. We tried the Sunday Roast and it was fantastic, accompanied by exceptional service. We will definitely be returning in the future!

Enjoyed a lovely meal over the weekend. One negative was my prawn cocktail, it didn't really taste of much, which was a shame. Fish and chips were good, as was the pimms! Definitely need to book ahead of going.

A long walk round Bramshot Farm Country Park and then follow the stables walk to Crown Cushion for good wine, great food and awesome service all while sitting in the sun In their outdoor area. Perfect plan for a warm day in Farnborough.

Went for a couple drinks with a mate then decided to order food. Wow! Food was amazing with friendly and helpful staff. Mates got a few allergies but food still came timely and very nicely presented. Great cocktails too! Will definitely be returning, 5 star gaff!

A strong 4-Star review from me. Having recently moved to the area we took Friends for dinner here last week hoping it would make for a good choice! Overall we were very impressed. Staff were great, being polite professional yet fun bubbly which is exactly what you want from a pub like this. We did lunch and it was fairly busy with a wedding also taking place in the attached building however our food wasn’t too long a wait considering. I had a Sirloin Steak

Wow what a busy huge pub!! Thought we'd meet up with some friends for a roast!! So did half of Surrey and Hampshire, rammed with people!! It's a carvery so you go queue up. The fella cutting the meat was lovely too. The veg needed to be cooked a bit longer (quite raw still). I had a vegan Biscoff cheesecake and it was so yummy!! I would have enjoyed it more if it was rammed with people. The old building was lovely and the biggest fireplace I've ever seen. Definitely worth going. Will be trying the menu food next time!!
