"If you are looking for a menu that highlight Bologna's specialties, Cesarina has it for you. You are able to experience their take on lasagne, Gramigna, tortelloni, cotoletta,Ragu, Crema fritte, Zuppa Inglese and so many more delights for as long as your stomach can stretch! Service was smooth and as English speakers, we were made to feel at ease. One thing to be aware of if you are not already: they open at 7.15pm and if you are sitting before 8/8.30pm, the restaurant will have empty seats as the locals eat late but nothing to shy away from. For a 3 course meal for 2, beer and a half-bottle of wine, as well as a cover charge [typical in the city], all came to just over €120 so extremely reasonable for the city centre and such high quality. An absolute gem and a highlight of our trip."

the location is unique, beautiful, one of the most suggestive points of the city, historic place, friendly staff and helpful. the menu is that of the local tradition, all good and with adequate portions, average prices.

Service was rushed the beginning then none existent! Had some delicious pastas and then Osso Bucco, but not one check in on how the meal was, waited 45 minutes after eating then asked for the bill. Excuse was “ we are under staffed “! Sorry but a quick “how is everything “ goes a long way! NOT recommended

Lovely authentic local Italian restaurant with a high standard of service. Can speak English and make great recommendations for food and wine. Took us without a reservation which was fantastic. Food was delicious and so was the local wine. Not too expensive. Would definitely recommend this restaurant in Bologna. View menu

My wife and I chose this place for our wedding anniversary, and we were not disappointed. A friendly atmosphere with a few waiters who could cater to our limited Italian with their far more accomplished English. We both ordered starters as well as main entrees and desserts. All were cooked (or baked or fried) to perfection. My wife really enjoyed the house wine, which is produced there. They even managed to figure out it was our anniversary and put little candles on our desserts. A nice touch. Altogether a pleasant experience. Definitely recommended.

we were a little disappointed, me and my friends, with whom we chose to have lunch in this restaurant renowned for bologna. we did not order many varieties of dishes, taken as appetizer a mixed Italian fried euro.) good the mixed fried but the chips, inserted in the dish, were not like goto to the height. They seemed to be packed. My friends took the leaps from here, the disappointment. They only knew of ricotta and the mortadella you had to look for with the lumino. The cesarina sleeve wasn't bad. good tortellini and seasoning. super friendly and professional staff, nothing to say. Even the nice environment. a pity that for a typical dish Bolognese did not know of the main ingredient, the m...
