"Dreambakes staff are very welcoming and was nice to see that most menu options had a vegan alternative. I had a heel milk flat white, was great to see that they use local specialties coffee like darkwoods from huddersfield and they showed know in making the coffee. beautiful latte art. for my meal I had a sharp cheese toastia on acidity. the alternative to make this vegan was the usual cheese they use to replace a smokey one. very well present with extras such as salad leaf, Slav and craps. I felt that she would be in the toastia a little on the replacement side and not really smiling, could taste the smoke through the cheese I loved. I don't know why, but if the venue is fully vegan, I don't always trust items like pasta, as it came to my children's plates, who had ham sandwiches. overall I was satisfied. I also say that they made a few vegan cakes like a banoffeee shortcake and choco concrete. also nice to see, they sell the coffee beans and have guests coffee. it is great to see more vegan friendly places in doncaster"

Delicious independent cafe with lots of vegan options including vegan milk alternatives at no extra cost. Multiple vegan cake options but the carrot cake is the best I’ve ever had! View menu

We were passing through Doncaster and needed breakfast. We had a lovely breakfast hash with vegan cheese and oat milk coffees. We took some cakes away with us (they had 3 vegan varieties-all delicious) and they sold the incredible Tyne Cheese!

Just popped in to have a look as I read that they had vegan options. Spotted a few vegan baked goods which looked delicious! I tried the peanut butter cookie and it was amazing! Staff were friendly and helpful too and items clearly labelled as vegan. Definitely going to stop in and try their food menu soon.

we came as a family of 7 in late august 2020 as a family meet after lockdown facilitated. we were so welcome. we sat outside under the lid and that worked well. we had 1 dog too. really tasty eating and beautiful staff. something for everyone on the menu. I had a tyne chease toastie, but the suppe also looked great. we were told that local vegans love their concrete cake (local speciality) with custard, but I was too full to try. recommend this place to anyone. update sept 2021: post-blocking arrangements clearly emphasize the owner a bit, frazzled, table was not deleted because that would make resanitising and coffee. updated by previous review on 2020-08-22

A wonderful find, hidden away in Priory Walk Doncaster, on the former site of Doncaster Priory. An unassuming modern contemporary eatery. It’s only when you are seated and browse the menu and see the food being served, you realise the quality of this new establishment. Refreshingly, they offer an inclusive menu, catering for carnivores, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free – because all the meals are prepared fresh, they can be tailored to your taste, if they have the ingredients in. For example, what appears to be egg on toast, from the menu, transpires to be an extraordinary culinary piece of visual and gastronomical art. And that’s just the start. . . The cakes and speciality hot and cold be...

"The welcome we received was pleasant, although not very personal, and our details were not checked, which was surprising considering how difficult it was to secure a reservation. The restaurant is not licensed, so guests are welcome to bring their own drinks. My husband and I brought two bottles of champagne, but we were not offered an ice bucket and were given standard wine glasses instead of flutes. The food was served promptly, starting with an amuse bouche of butternut squash veloute with a creamy accompaniment served in egg boxes. The chef explained the dish himself, and it was delicious. The second course, an aged rice dish reminiscent of a soupy risotto flavored with parmesan and espresso, was my least favorite. I found it poorly presented and the coffee flavor didn't come through well. The third course, a beautifully cooked lamb cutlet finished on a barbecue outside, was accompanied by flavorful lentils. However, the broccoli that came with it was plain and could have used some additional flavor. The dish was not explained to us. The fourth dish, which I initially thought was eel, turned out to be smoked eel and was served with beetroot. This was one of my favorite dishes of the night. We were served two desserts: a warm chocolate foam with orange sorbet and a deconstructed rhubarb custard with pink meringue pieces, both of which were delicious. The bill was not presented to us, so we followed the lead of other guests who left cash on the table as they left. My husband had a nice chat with the chef, and I joined in after a visit to the restroom. The chef was very knowledgeable and skilled with flavors. Overall, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of personality in presenting and explaining each dish. The experience felt somewhat impersonal and lacked interest. I believe guest interaction is crucial, so my tip would be for the restaurant to take the time to engage with guests, even if it means spending less time in the kitchen. I did not give a perfect score due to the presentation and slightly underwhelming flavors in some dishes. I believe that in fine dining, every element of the dish should be bursting with flavor. Despite this, we had an enjoyable evening and would return if we are able to secure a reservation."
