I've been to Drei Kannen a couple of times before and always make a point of visiting when coming to Ulm. This was my best visit yet! The service was superb and we were made most welcome. Our waiter was very helpful and he was...very friendly. I look forward to our next visit

You must try their Hackbraten! Even if I am not a person who eats meet very often, this dish is totally worth going there! The atmosphere is cute, a little bit crowded, but the place is just very good! The tables outside along the river...create a romantic scenery in the evenings

This place looks like it can get very busy so my top tip if you do go there is book a table else prepare to be disappointed

My only criticism was that portions are very large and I would like to be forewarned as I hate leaving large amounts. Terrible experience when we visited recently. Walked in at to multiple empty tables. We were ignored for a good while by two waitresses before my husband asked if we could have a table for two. One word in reply NO. When he enquired...why, staff member said the restaurant was fully booked and she waltzed off into the distance without uttering another word. The empty tables suggested otherwise. Arrogant, ignorant staff. Can't comment on food as the place was fully booked and unable to seat us. Not the typical German welcome at all. If you can't be hospitable, don't work in hospitality

The staff were very friendly, getting us a baby high chair. Showing us the daily German specials, when they realised we understood some German. They also advised against a rather risky selection and recommended a local speciality. Beer and soft drinks was good as you...would expect. Ambience lovely in the historic courtyard and a great start to our European vacation. The food was excellent. We arrived the day before swormontag and the waiter mentioned it to us and recommended places to view. We tried to go there again the best evening, but it was full. Highly recommended and we will definitely eat here again next time in Ulm
