"Visited here for breakfast before a group walk. 3 of the 4 had a savoury pancake with bacon, fried mushrooms and Dutch cheese. This came with a small but beautiful side salad which was fab even at 10am! 4th member of the group had breakfast pancake which came with bacon and 2 fried eggs which had very golden yolks and looked very happy. At £9 the savoury pancake wasn't cheap but I didn't eat against until 7pm, apart from a carrot! Very filling and very tasty. Would highly recommend. Returned after our walk for another hot drink but couldn't manage any of the lovely cakes that were on offer. There's an art gallery in site which is lovely to look around and gardens, although it was a big early in the season for them to have much to look at. We will definitely try to visit again"

Not impressed with anything here, wish we hadn't visited. We were in out within 15 mins. Very expensive and I don't mind spending money o quality products, but at these prices!

Pancakes sweet and savory also in gluten free and dairy free! An absolute delight. Beetroot and goats feta pancake for me [dairy allergy]. Some nice dessert pancakes too. Kids corner. Small cafe with courtyard and gardens to walk around. Not quick but work waiting for. View menu

A great place to start and finish a great morning. You can park your car and go for a walk or just stay and eat. We did both. They have a guide for local walks and then back for food. The menu has a good selection and the soup with a bacon buttie is good at £9.00. Dogs and kids welcome, fantastic

Simply lovely. I had heard good reports of the Dutch House, and they were right. Even in late autumn, the garden is lovely, so well and thoughtfully designed. The ambience is very relaxing, quality art on the walls and items to buy). The food is delicious I had a 'combo ' of red pepper and carrot soup, followed by a very substantial brie, walnut and honey sandwich £9). Very pleasant and polite service. There was a litle wait, but this was explained when we arrived, due to only one person working and doing a great job) Will definitely visit again, and looking forward to it.

"We arrived here for a 2 night stay for a wedding (Fri sat night). PROS: Lynsey the manageress she 100% makes it so fabulous. Lovely, welcoming, looked after us brilliantly. Due to some staff shortages, she was doing what seemed like 10 jobs at once! We ate on one of the nights food was delicious! Great service tasty food. Breakfast was also spot on set us up brilliantly for the day ahead on the Saturday! The Willow room which we stayed in was fab ideal size, lovely cosy too! The whole 2 night stay was extremely reasonably priced the place itself has a great feel about it like a big cosy house! CONS: If you like total darkness, take an eye mask for sleeping as the rooms can get really bright from the early hours. Also, depending on the room, it’s on quite a busy road so can be quite nosy it would be worth having earplugs if you like a quiet surrounding. Due to staffing, the bar doesn’t stay open that late, so be mindful of this, they will however put drinks in your room if you can’t make it back in time for the bar closing. Taxis there are no local taxis, so arranging transport to the wedding we were attending was a nightmare which we didn’t account for! Luckily after 6 different phone calls, we managed to get sorted. The only gripe I had was the confusion over the bill if you decide to charge things to your room, the bills aren’t itemised so it’s difficult to keep track of what has been charged. There was some confusion on checkout over what we should shouldn’t have been charged for, so definitely choose to pay for any extras outright to avoid any confusion or uncertainty before check out. Other than that, it was one of the nicest, most personal stays we’ve had out in a long long time. This was mainly down to the Manageress Lynsey who is fabulous at her job really does make it feel like home makes you feel super welcomed relaxed. Thank you lynsey for really making a stay a one to remember."
