"for an attraction that makes itself proud of the promotion of climate change, the lack of vegan options is a embarrassment! the book says it has a caffe that sells vegan meals it only cakes. another just a vegan pasty, and had other options, but not today. at the end, I had to be available for a vegan burger as the only “meal”. If I had known that it was so missing, I would have brought my own food. Summary: great for cake, but not for a proper lunchtime"

Vegan pasties tasted lovely. Expensive as expected but only a few available. Coffee was atrocious and 40p extra for a drop of oat milk.

Mint choc chip vegan ice cream was amazing! And there were a few other vegan options such as sorbets! But the cone was not vegan so had a tub instead

used to make delicious, creative vegan options. now disappointing. for somewhere that likes to scream about eco-problems, they would think there are more vegetable and much less meat and milk. View menu

vegan pizza, butternut squash curry, jackfruit burritos and pasties. a nice selection at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, many of their food shops were closed due to covid, but we can't blame them, they still make a good choice taking into account the circumstances

Some nice options for vegans, whilst I didn't see anything labelled as such (though we only visited the burrito restaurant), it was easy to remove the dairy from the jackfruit burrito. Also had some good dairy free ice cream which was very nice! Updated from previous review on 2021-08-07

Didn’t know what to expect, we had lunch at the Biome when visiting Eden project. They have vegan options for cakes, ice cream, pastry, rice bowl and burritos. I had carrot cake, which was very soft, moist and not too unhealthily sweet. Mint chocolate chip and coconut pineapple ice cream were amazing. View menu

I went to all 4 caffes, found only suppe, cake and coffee in the at the beginning café, a vegan pasty in the lunch box, ' a few vegan main dishes in the med restaurant, and a vegan rice bowl (curie) in the restaurant between the two biomes. apparently subduing for somewhere that promotes veganism through sustainability.

Great facilities for families with both vegan and non vegan options. I had the mushroom, leek and tarragon pie which comes which choice of 3 veg sides. *There above was not longer an option. We found 2 stalls serving food and had a pasty and a salad box. Despite tasting very nice, it was very disappointing as these were there only two vegan options available. Not the filling warm meal we could have had before COVID-19.

"Booked to come on Friday night with some friends. Atmosphere inside the restaurant was good (though the music was quite loud so difficult to hear people on the other side of the table The food we had was really tasty and I love the choice of food you get in the Boathouse. Living locally, it’s always a top choice to go for dinner when in Charlestown. However, my party and I were quite shocked by the attitude of one of the waitstaff. Throughout the entirety of the night, she appeared grumpy, fed up and completely like she didn’t want to be there. There was no friendly greeting or conversation at our table at any point during the night, just a “yeah?” when she came to take our order. No niceties at all. I understand it’s the height of summer but we were made to feel like such an inconvenience, and when we were paying over £200 for dinner, it’s nice to feel valued. She also missed off one of my friend’s dishes, despite counting the orders when she took our order, so one of our party had to sit and wait (fair play to the kitchen who got the dish out speedier than we were expecting! and we were understanding, but we didn’t even receive an apology from her for the mistake (another waitress who didn’t take the order was lovely but again, it wasn’t her fault bless her. I should also mention that at one point, this staff member was walking down the stairs to the kitchen, loudly swearing. Something along the lines of “I couldn’t F*king believe it” It was certainly loud enough for our entire party to hear and didn’t particularly fit with the atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, I love my visits to the Boathouse but I do not feel keen to return with this particular staff member there. It didn’t feel welcoming and we almost dreaded having our order taken! We are normally keen tippers as lots of our party work in hospitality and understand the stresses of the job, but didn’t feel we could tip after this meal it just wasn’t a pleasant experience. Which is a shame, as without this service I would have said it was a 4/5* venue."
