An unexpected find. Cozy, although right along the busy Bundesallee, with one of the best, tender, juicy steaks I’ve ever had, at very reasonable prices. Recommended!

Good experience. Walking distance from hotel. Good food and good service. Waitress pleasant and accommodating. Apple strudel was excellent! Wine was good. Walked in seated immediately. Highly recommend while visiting Berlin Germany.

Located at the top of the steps from one of multiple entrances to the U-Bahn station this local steak house hits the nostrils as you rise up the staircase. Cosy, multilevel space with outside seating space when weather permits. Reasonable menu choice. Well priced. Good...portion size. Service attentive without being overbearing, though a little too quick to clear plates when only diner has finished their meal. Mixed grill is good value including chunky chips and a plate from the buffet salad bar.

Maybe this is a case of language differences. I asked for a sirloin steak (which in every country I have previously visited means the non-fillet side of the t-nine steak). At this restaurant (and maybe all Germany) it is something else, that I think was...what we would call rump. That was the secondary problem. I ordered the steak medium-rare. I received what I would call a blue steak. Brown in the outside. Raw and refrigerator cold on the inside. I sent it back. That’s when I asked about the cut. I got a lesson in German obstinance. Rather than fixing the problem the owner attempted to educate me. On cuts of meat and on the meaning of medium-rare. Needless to say I left and ended up eating...

This steakhouse was just two blocks down and had outdoor seating, under a nice canopy, so we decided to stop in and give it a try. We had a comfortable table in the corner of the storefront, I was very impressed with the fact they provided the same comforts in terms of tables and chairs outside as they do inside the dining room. They offered a good assortment of wine and had plenty for the beer drinkers too. The menu was impressive in terms of assortment and provided something for the vegetarians out there as well.
