While staying at the Hilton Airport-Madrid, we wanted a quick meal, so based on Trip Advisor, El Museo was close by and had good reviews. The food was simple, but very good! The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially for us non Spanish speaking visitors. It’s a very nice local restaurant, with very good food!! Its located on the street behind the Airport Hilton. I’d recommend it!

We arrived late for our stay at the Hilton, so we stepped out back to try El Museo. We sampled a few of the usual Tapas selections and found that their Fried Calamari, Ham Croquettes and Iberian Ham were all salty. I enjoyed their inexpensive Flan for dessert. The menu was in Spanish and the staff spoke limited English. We were annoyed by the odor of cigarette smoke from customers on their tented patio that drifted into the dining room/bar area. The bill was inexpensive.

If you are staying at the Airport Hilton in Madrid and feeling hungry, this little place is a gem. Come out of the hotel and turn right. Walk 50 meters and turn right again. Go between the buildings keeping the multi story car park on your left. (The street looks as if you are going through a parking lot. At the very next street T junction turn right again and you will see El Museo down on the left. It has outside dining as well as inside although the inside is a little austere and a menu all in Spanish (causing a little bother but this being overcome with Google translate and laughter.
