"I had a truly disappointing dining experience at Emma's Bar Restaurant Cafe that prompted me to speak with both the reception and the manager. After making a reservation, I arrived and was told to just sit anywhere. No menu was provided, and the waitstaff seemed to vanish. I had to raise my hand a few times and ask verbally for a menu. After finally receiving it, I was okay with waiting to place my order, as I understand that customers need time to decide. When my meal arrived, it was fairly average, with large pieces of smoked salmon simply placed on top of the Caesar Salad. Unfortunately, that was the last I saw of any staff. I sat from my 8 PM reservation until 9:39 PM without anyone coming to ask if I wanted dessert or even the bill! Eventually, I had to walk to the bar to pay, where I found no one there either. In retrospect, I could have just walked out! As a solo traveler, it felt like my presence was unwelcome. I understand that a table for one may generate less revenue, but it shouldn't be made so obvious that being single is a disadvantage. I typically leave generous tips, but not this time. I won't be returning."

The service was a bit slow since they overbooked and had run out of one of our choices.

The food and wine are slightly overpriced for a 3-star hotel. Other than that, everything was perfect.

The staff were fantastic while we were supervising six kids. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

I booked a meal a week in advance. Turned up to be told the restaurant wasn’t open and no one had advised me. Not very pleased at all View menu

Convenient for hotel guests. Menu is limited, which is a bit of a shame and would benefit from some classic dishes. Breakfast in this restaurant is really good.

The service was quite slow because there was a shortage of staff. The food was overcooked, dry, and lacked flavor. However, the restaurant manager tried to be helpful and sincerely offered their apologies.

Overall, my experience at Emma's Bar Restaurant Cafe had some downsides. The bottle of white wine was served in a wine cup, but the cap wasn't removed, nor was the wine poured for a taste. Additionally, considering our table was booked for 6:45, I was disappointed to find that one of the three desserts on the menu was unavailable, and there was no alternative offered. View menu

When I made my reservation, I wasn't aware that it was a restaurant within a hotel, so I had some initial doubts. However, the staff at Emma's provided the best service I’ve experienced in Britain—absolutely top-notch. The food was delightful, the atmosphere in the restaurant was serene, the wine selection was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend it!

After a day of business in Bath, I needed dinner to refuel so I chose to dine here. Right off the bat I was greeted by a smiley Amelia who made sure everything was done perfectly. It took her a couple of minutes to accommodate me to a large table. She had great knowledge of the menu so I chose to trust her recommendations. I will admit that she was right the Fried chicken bites and the peri peri burger were delicious. The bun was warm, chicken was tender, and the bites were crispy but juicy. It’s a place I will return to. Not purely for the food, but for Amelia’s service which is far superior to anything else I experienced in Bath or Bristol.
