"Impeccable cup of chai, really great! They also stock Studio 28 Patisserie cakes which are incredible. I personally adore their lemon cake but their blueberry cake, carrot and their passion fruit loaf are also yummy. My friends had ice tea which I think they were so so about them and one friend wasn't too keen on their brownie. Interior is beautiful and we brought our dog who was a very good boy and the staff kindly brought out a bowl of water for him as they are dog friendly. It's nice to have a teahouse in Newcastle that really knows their stuff, I've had a bad experience at another teahouse which is popular with students when they didn't wash their teapot properly and it tasted strongly of spearmint ruining my tea, I can't imagine any such event would happen here as this is truly a teahouse for tea connoisseurs!"

Massive selection of the best tea. But you can get a great coffee too. Lovely food and cakes as well. Welcoming staff. Highly recommend there’s nothing else like it in Newcastle or Gateshead.

This charming Asian tea room offers a variety of Asian-inspired breakfast and brunch options. I tried the gyozas and breakfast udon bowl, and both were delicious! The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, and they are dog-friendly. I love it!

If you love a place that’s takes real care over its service then go to this cafe. Their teas are remarkable. The care taken over the production of each tea is a science. My son sampled the breakfast and all of the ingredients were fresh and tasty. View menu

Stopped here on the way to Northumberland and spent a very relaxing couple of hours drinking speciality teas and snacking on delicious cakes. The owner Tom is very knowledgable and welcoming. Lovely place , great service, will definitely be calling again

Small, clean and great service. This place will be great when it gets warmer outside. Excellent coffee, oh and I had some sourdough toast with it, along with some lush jam and butter. This place does take CC for payment, however i paid by cash, better for them. Will be back again soon

This is the place to go for high quality tea. All the staff have a fantastic knowledge and understanding of tea which really comes across in their enthusiasm and passion. They have a huge variety of teas from around the world from some of the best tea gardens around the globe. They also serve Pink Lane Coffee and the flat white is excellent. It's always a treat to visit! View menu

I visited this restaurant on a rainy Saturday morning during a weekend trip to Newcastle and was pleasantly surprised to find this peaceful oasis. The atmosphere was very relaxed and had a Japanese/hipster vibe. We ordered a black coffee and a white coffee, although there wasn't a choice of coffee bean type - but that's to be expected in a tea house. We also purchased some Rooibos tea in a beautiful aluminum tin to bring home. I am excited for the chance to visit again in the future.

I visited this restaurant in the evening for a pre-booked tea tasting session with a group of friends. I am not usually a tea drinker, but I found the evening to be very interesting. Tom was very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of information about the teas they offer. He explained the proper procedure for tasting the teas, which included ensuring the water was at the correct temperature and allowing the teas to steep for the appropriate amount of time. After the session, we were able to purchase teas at a discounted price. We arrived at 6pm and did not feel rushed at all, leaving after 8pm.

"The place seems unprofessionally run. The staff all look like they could do with a bath. No overalls are worn and their clothes are all of the type that many would wear to lounge around the house in . Several have longer hair and beards but don’t wear any kitchen p.p.e. The decor is shabby and I wondered what kind of hygiene rating they would have. Although not busy, the staff seemed to be disorganised, falling over eachother and lacking in training. They seemed to handle the food in an inexperienced, clumsy fashion. The only tool I saw being used was a pizza peel for taking the pizza in and out of the oven. On all other occasions the food was handled. I didn’t notice any hand washing or alcohol gel in evidence. The menu is quite limited and uninspiring. 2 of the 6 pizza choices include chicken which Italians would argue is definite no no! All pizzas are reheated to order which eliminates the possibility of customisation. I don’t believe the restaurant would stand out in many European countries, as pizza in general is of a much higher standard than that in the UK. In spite of the above, The basic pizza is excellent in taste (even though it is all re-heated). And for this reason it is worth a visit. Compared to other uk pizza restaurants which are typically serving absolute garbage, the food is way out in front. If you can tolerate the negatives I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the pizza. However with a bit of effort, this place could be transformed into something truly amazing."
