Lovely experience for our 18 month old. Nice of them to reduce the prices this January to help out.

Absolutely lovely place to take grandchildren that doesn’t break the bank!! Wonderful animals. Play park and very good food. Will definitely be going back!

1st time visit to zoo part had lunch, luckily it was warm, loved the animals, little gift shop there too that's not over priced like many. Very affordable treat. Recommended by school mums, def visit again.

You know the zoo is lovely, it's a shame that when I visited the pub was shut. I had been hoping for a bit of a cosy pub lunch then a mooch through the zoo but the new cafe was ok. Food looked lovely coming out but it wasn't the same.

Lovely pub with a very personal zoo attached to the side. All the animals are very well cared for, and it is clear the owners pride themselves in this. It is a popular place and clear to see why. The foxes are incredible to watch, as are the wild cats! I was lucky enough to talk with the owner, and he was friendly, welcoming and down to earth. A fantastic little gem of a pub that we highly recommend.

You absolutely have to visit this little zoo. They do not buy any animals, just care for those who are being discarded. Family run and ever expanding, the staff are excellent, the experiences are extremely well priced and food and drink from the pub is very good indeed. Lovely couple of days spent with our daughter being looked after by the knowledgable and friendly staff running the experiences. A must visit. 10/10.

We absolutely LOVE the zoo and that would always rate a 5/5 from us but the pub restaurant oh dear. We visited on Thursday last week as the school was shut and I tried to order some lunch. The assistant needs some customer service training. Rude. Unhelpful. I was very surprised that under no circumstances could a sandwich be adapted so not to have meat in it, as the kitchen get cross. I decided to not even ask about the allergy card as she was just so unhelpful. Sorry as weve always liked the food there. Packed lunches for us next time we visit.

Just visited. The zoo was lovely (separate to the pub) but the pub was disappointing. We had been told it was great with good food…. We were sat in a cold extension and hadn’t even taken our coats off before being asked what we wanted as we needed to order quick as they needed the table back. We ordered. 45 minutes later we still had no food, it came eventually but so did the other people that had booked the table so we had to eat under pressure with no time for the kids ice cream, we were handed the bill while my one year old was still eating. Toilets had no soap. If visiting we would eat in the zoo canteen as the food is all the same anyway!

Came across this beautiful place while at our stay at Haven a few minutes away. We came at 7pm so was unable to go around the little zoo they have, however, what a lovely pub, food was absolutely amazing, very generous portions!! And great value for money! Lovely friendly staff, beautiful roaring log burner which made it very comfortable. The only thing I would say was that it could have done with slightly more light, it was quite dark to eat our food but that’s the only slight nag I have. 100% would return, it was £85 for 5 of us with main course and alcoholic drinks. Absolute bargain for absolutely gorgeous food!!! Unfortunately I didn’t take any pics of food! Looked too yummy to stop and...
