"This was our second visit, in fact we detoured through Kaysersberg on our way home just to eat here again. I feared that my memory was too positive and we would be disappointed, but not at all! We ordered the goats cheese with honey, and the parma ham flammekuchen and they were both amazing. Yes the prices are 50% higher than other establishments, but you get so much more! I couldn't finish mine, and got a little box to take home my leftover. (Did I mention the friendly service?!) My partner doesn't usually like flammekuchen, but he loves these! Sit outside if you can - yesterday it was too cold and we had to sit in, and this is my only criticism - the blingy dark bar atmosphere with the radio playing; in my opinion the ambience doesn't fit the food and prices."

Charming staff - excellent wines - inventive Tartes flambées - Only good things to say about this restaurant. Try it!

I had the 'tasting menu'. Although some were delicious, most flammes were not special. Could be a choice when visiting Kayserberg.

Service was fast and friendly, food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Couldn't eat it all since I was still too full from lunch. Would have loved to try a sweet Flamm here! View menu

We had a quick bite out of dinner hours, we got to try their tartes flammees and we were really pleased, more elaborated than the regular ones you find everywhere. You can even pick between small and big sizes to try different ones.

Our second night at Le Chambard and four of us tried this quirky place where a Michelin starred twiste was put on the traditional tarte flamme . It was delicious and buzzy with really enthusiastic staff who went out of their way to make sure we had a great night.

As I'm very particular about my Tarte Flambees, see my reviews in Roeschwoog, I was somewhat anxious about trying a modern version. However, I have to admit they tasted great. This trendy place looks like it has been a sushi bar on the past? Nice addition in this beautiful and traditional little town. View menu

Probably the worst restaurant around. The place is apparently ran by teenagers who clearly are there just to make a few bucks (thankfully, for the service they provide, less than minimum wage) and flirt with each other. They don't care about customers at all. Since Kaysersberg is awesome, you shouldn't ruin your experience of it by going to this dump. Avoid at all costs.

We had a delicious lunch here. We were encouraged to choose different flammkuches and share them between us, and it was ok to choose just two between 4 of us, and then perhaps order more. (Unlike the previous lunch place where we were told that we each had to order a full meal because we were taking up space at a table). The Flammkuche were delicious, with a lot of creative alternatives to the traditional options. We tried a goat cheese, and the seasonal asparagus which were excellent. Then we tried the apple, which was the best we've ever had. We wish we lived in Kayserberg so that we could come here regularly.

"L'Alchemille is a 1 star Michelin restaurant located in the Alsatian village of Kaysersberg. The menu here is a surprise, you just get to choose between 5, 7 or 9 course. The chef will gives what what he wants, what's fresh that time in his garden, and what he feels like cooking. I like the element of surprise so it wasn't an issue. Before you're asked if there are any ingredients you don't eat, or if you have any allergies,Service is good, not so much fluent in English but in a way or another you get to communicate. Wine list is good and includes wines for everyone's budget, somellier is more towards selling expensive wines, but he knows his job.Dinner kicked off with a bottle of Cremant,a nicely presented amouse bouche and fresh bread, It then followed with a variety of dishes which included potato mousse, beef tomato with basil snow. deer tartare, salmon, mustard zabaion, pigeon leg, munster and 2 desserts. The star of the night was the beef tomato with herbs and basil snow, followed by the pigeon with glazed peas, carrot puree and pigeon juice. To finish off we were given some petit fours, not bad but it can be improved. We later had a chat with chef Jerome Jaegle who surely has a passion for what he does, and no wonder he was awarded a Michelin star, his creativity on a daily basis is something few can do and maintain such a standard.Total came to around €130 including mid priced wine, 9 course is reasonably priced at €78.If you're in the area, it's a place you'd love to visit. I'll be back."
