"This was our first visit since it has expanded and we were quite impressed with how it looked. The cafe was lovely and warm as the log burner was lit, a little too warm actually for a couple of us who had worn jumpers on such a cold wet day. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The food was very good especially the full cooked breakfast, good quality bacon, sausage and it was piping hot. It was busy so very noisy, think it needs something to soften the echo. Overall we enjoyed it and would go back however we were very shocked to be charged £3.80 for one takeaway cheese scone from the counter and it didn’t even come with butter. I am more than happy to pay for homemade cakes and I know how expensive they are to make but I do think this price was outrageous so it had better be exceptional when we eat it later."

This is a fantastic place. Lovely food the bacon was really tasty. Great service. Gorgeous views, a farm shop, and plenty for children to do too.

The cooked breakfast at this restaurant is delicious and served by friendly staff. An added bonus is that it is dog-friendly. We will definitely return as the menu is diverse and caters to all tastes.

Even though it was a Sunday and very busy, we were served quickly. The food was great. I had a fruit scone which was huge plus tea. Tea came in a good sized proper pot with 2 tea bags plus another pot full of hot water. Overall, excellent value for money and a good stop for cyclists View menu

I have been to this restaurant multiple times and the menu is very good. I really enjoyed the Sunday lunch, as well as attending a party there. Families will appreciate the small playground and the opportunity to see some animals. The restaurant also has a shop, adding to its charm. The setting has a genuine country atmosphere.

Visited for a light lunch and despite the lovely setting which is down a really narrow road wasn't impressed. The main eating area despite being only about half full was horrendously noisy, most likely the acoustics of the building and my Chilli Jacket Potato average at best. Service was fine and staff too but wouldn't come back.

First visit here for lunch and really enjoyed the food, it was pretty busy and a short wait for a table, I had the farmers breakfast and not to come over all alan partridge but minor criticism, more distance between eggs and beans. Maybe I want to mix them up, but I want it to be my decision. Use a sausage as a breakwater Otherwise great food and great banter with the red headed cheeky chappie waiter, he 'll go far View menu

This is is a nice location and the activities to occupy children, swing, trampoline etc is a great hit but cafe is just ok. Been twice recently. Scones are really good value they are massive and it’s a nice cup of tea. But breakfast items are over priced and not great. Sausage Bap had two small sausages in it (at the walkway you get four for less money). Other breakfast baps were ok. Drinks came after everyone had finished eating. It was busy so get that but two times service hasn’t been amazing. Don’t cater for vegans at all even though it says items can be adjusted I get use to that so that is fine but you think there might be even one option. There are cakes in packets they must buy in th...

The customer service at this restaurant was terrible. Despite usually enjoying our meals here, we will not be returning. We ordered our dinners and my daughter also ordered a flatbread pizza and a side of chips. All of our meals arrived except for the chips, despite reminding the waitress and asking two other servers. After 25 minutes with no chips, my father-in-law went to the front desk to inquire and complain. Eventually, the chips were brought out, but with a woman who worked there displaying a terrible attitude. She stated they had forgotten because they were busy and insinuated that our complaint was unnecessary. There was no apology, just excuses and overall terrible customer service....

"We arrived here for a 2 night stay for a wedding (Fri sat night). PROS: Lynsey the manageress she 100% makes it so fabulous. Lovely, welcoming, looked after us brilliantly. Due to some staff shortages, she was doing what seemed like 10 jobs at once! We ate on one of the nights food was delicious! Great service tasty food. Breakfast was also spot on set us up brilliantly for the day ahead on the Saturday! The Willow room which we stayed in was fab ideal size, lovely cosy too! The whole 2 night stay was extremely reasonably priced the place itself has a great feel about it like a big cosy house! CONS: If you like total darkness, take an eye mask for sleeping as the rooms can get really bright from the early hours. Also, depending on the room, it’s on quite a busy road so can be quite nosy it would be worth having earplugs if you like a quiet surrounding. Due to staffing, the bar doesn’t stay open that late, so be mindful of this, they will however put drinks in your room if you can’t make it back in time for the bar closing. Taxis there are no local taxis, so arranging transport to the wedding we were attending was a nightmare which we didn’t account for! Luckily after 6 different phone calls, we managed to get sorted. The only gripe I had was the confusion over the bill if you decide to charge things to your room, the bills aren’t itemised so it’s difficult to keep track of what has been charged. There was some confusion on checkout over what we should shouldn’t have been charged for, so definitely choose to pay for any extras outright to avoid any confusion or uncertainty before check out. Other than that, it was one of the nicest, most personal stays we’ve had out in a long long time. This was mainly down to the Manageress Lynsey who is fabulous at her job really does make it feel like home makes you feel super welcomed relaxed. Thank you lynsey for really making a stay a one to remember."
