"I hadn't been to Bolonia in years so followed one of my favourite Spanish rules turn left and keep going until the road stops and it leads you here. It's such a refreshing place. The last restaurant on the beach with views to Morocco. The beach wasn't full and there were only 10 people or so having lunch and drinks. Do not expect 5 star this is a beach bar. I had 2 cervecitas only 2 euros each and sat outside in the sun, listening to the wind (not as strong as tarifa), the Spanish music and the occasional stray dog. They have a huge Newfoundland inside but it's very friendly! So, cool and cheap beer, parking outside until 11pm for 1 Euro, lovely Spanish music, an awesome beach and stunning views. Well worth a visit! They also have windsurf hire/windsurf school to the side.One word of caution: beware the wind keeping you cool and tricking you into thinking that the sun isn't burning! Otherwise another Spanish secret revealed :D"

"Don’t get me wrong, the food was perfectly ok, normal Andalusian fried seafood and fish, steak and chips, and the ubiquitous chick peas and spinach. But what a disappointment from the meals we’ve had here before which were inspired, modern, fusion based. The meals centred around tuna and worth the drive from Cadiz for lunch. Today no tuna dishes because there was no delivery? Barbate is literally down the road and it’s the height of tuna season now. Service was a bit surly and they had to be reminded for the wine and forgot our coffees. Perhaps there has been a change in the kitchen. Last time, in October, I photographed our dishes as they were exquisite and this time it just resembled what we’ve been served time and time again, anywhere in Andalusia. Such a shame."

"ideal place to have a few beers and/or drinks with spectacular views! After a few beers we decided to try and stayed to eat, we ordered saladilla and pulpo brased with butter-colour that was delicious. We also ask for black rice, which seemed too salty and with a lot of ink. the service by removing some of the fireworks from one of the waitress, all great. the least it got me that in an account of more than we were charged with the shots, little view on this aspect. I'll come back as every year, however, since the enclave is spectacular!"

"Restaurante en la Playa de Bolonia. Cuando estás dentro, no parece que estés a 20 metros de una de las mejores playas (en mi opinión). Ambiente relajado, en un comedor señorial, con unos platos exquisitos , bien servidos y a un precio normal. Es un sitio en el que no te equivocas pidas lo que pidas"

"Me and my partner came here for our anniversary an LGBT couple). We were “greeted” at the door by a young man that had seen that we were holding hands and smirked then bowed and said “Ni hao” not sure if this was a joke or an insult but already set the evening on a bad note. The restaurant is decorated beautifully. My partner had called ahead and asked for a nice table given we were celebrating. We were given a table next to a wall with no view or lighting, all the nicer tables were reserved for locals. We were then given the menus, not much choice and everything is insanely overpriced. Drinks took 20 mins to reach our table bottle of lemonade and water) after 30 mins we were finally asked what we wanted to eat. We both picked the Solomio steak. We were one of the first tables to order this. My partner was asked how he wanted it cooked and he said medium well but the owner told him he would get it rare. After 40 mins one steak arrived and had to get sent back since it was literally bleeding. 10 mins after this a waiter came to our table to tell us they had run out of the steaks this is an hour after ordering the **** thing. We decided to keep the one steak and leave. We mentioned all this to the owner and received mediocre excuses. They ruined our anniversary dinner and even charged us for bread we didn’t eat. Not much choice to eat in the small town but would recommend literally anywhere else. We come to Cadiz every year and can easily say we won’t be returning to that poor excuse of a restaurant."
