"We were staying in Rome for an annual conference and, having some free time, decided to find the Fontana di Papa for lunch having chanced on it previously. Our recollections of distance were badly out but, with judicious research on google we were able to find it by Kilometre 12 as we remembered. There is a huge car park which was not all that full as we arrived just before 1pm. What looked like a large family party was gathering outside but, when we went in, only a few tables were occupied. We were shown to a table and water was quickly served. Our waiter then came and, in Italian (and only Italian) explained what there was and asked what we 'd like. We started with some delicious bruschetta pomodoro accompanied by 3 types of grilled vegetables. This we followed with fettuccini with mushrooms and rigatoni with a tomato and chilli sauce. Next we had sausage and skewers of delicious lamb with roast potatoes, and chicory. Next we had home made pannacotta with caramel and chocolate sauces. Everything was beautifully cooked. We had coffee and a couple of litres of sparkling water and a total bill of €58. It was excellent value for money. They take credit cards. The Clientele ranged from elderly couples and singles to young families and from the large family group to groups of workmen having lunch together. They have excellent and inexpensive wine choices and the place is immaculately clean. Large linen napkins and attentive staff also add to the pleasure of eating there. We 'll certainly be back. It 's now programmed into our satnav and mobile phones so we will not be delayed arriving next time. The Restaurant became completely full and understandably so with the quality of food and prices. When you add the fact that it 's family-run and the Hotel gets good reports too it 's not surprising. Thank goodness we found it again! And it 's not only child friendly but dog friendly too."

how to stay at home.... family environment and friendly owners! very large parking and excellent cuisine! first goose and abundant but the fort is the steak roasted with skill on the brace! Excellent!

invited for a birthday in this hotel restaurant we were very satisfied with the menu offered typical appetizers from trattoria with sliced various tripe and beans with very nice sauces of fettuccine with mushrooms and a lasagna (perhaps the only dish so and so) and a second with a mixed meat with different contours wine coffee and bitter for a very competitive price

I have eaten at Fontana di Papa many, many times in the past 3 years on my trips to Italy. The food is ALWAYS fantastic, and the service is to die for. Pesce, scampi, steak,lamb,sausage, ravioli, and other homeade pastas are always available. I bring all my workmates here for both lunch and dinner. NEVER DISAPPOINTED!!!! Massimo is the absolute best host/waiter and greets all Americani with a smile and helps translate the menu with ease. I will return again and again.....Ciao, Grazie

I have eaten at Fontana di Papa many, many times in the past 3 years on my trips to Italy. The food is ALWAYS fantastic, and the service is to die for. Pesce, scampi, steak,lamb,sausage, ravioli, and other homeade pastas are always available. I bring all my workmates here for both lunch and dinner. NEVER DISAPPOINTED!!!!
