Great food had the duck, sirloin and fried chicken, lovely welcoming service from both the waitress and the man behind the bar, nice company with the locals would return

If you are looking for a friendly pub with good homemade grub, excellent beer, a comfy bed and a reasonable price then this is the place for you. It is not a star spa kind of place just a decent honest pub with rooms...and good food.

sat twice for dinner and eating was nice at both places. there were eight of us and we all enjoyed it. I had lentil soup and fish and chips on the first visit and prawn cocktail and stroganoff on the second. the lens head was particularly fabulous. View menu

Went to Forbes Arms today with family and friends for our wedding meal and just can't praise them enough for the excellent meal and service .The dining room was so cosy and the food lovely and hot served to us by two lovely young...girls with excellent manners.Well done Caroline.

Took a friend for dinner she does loads to help me so a good idea to say thank you I had a couple pint beer real good we both had starters jackets with a sauce prawn rolls for me Fish chips and the Deveron platter...for me we had loads veg real nice place very clean lots staff so a great night will go again

we have recently eaten some meals both at lunch and evening and we can praise this hotel very well enough. everything is on the spot. from the varied menu, the service and the presentation can be error-free in any way, the dining room is especially beautiful with beautiful views of the river deveron. they will not be disappointed, eat safe here and we would not hesitate to recommend it to everyone. colin and jeanette View menu

we were beaten to dinner on an evening. little we knew that reservations would have been wise, as there are very limited seats. while we waited for our table, we wandered into the picturesque village of rothiemay and enjoyed screaming the local cemetery for our ancestors. when we returned to the hotel, we sat and treated ourselves to a wonderful evening of wonderfully prepared fresh meals. our waitress was a shady and when one of us requested a tiny rehearsal of heggis, she returned with a full portion for everyone to try. we were quite surprised how good the haggis was (we never had it), and it was quickly eaten by all. it was a very relaxed, pleasant evening with the wonderful staff at the...

We ordered at our leisure I had soup starter when it came it was piping hot with plenty bread and butter the bowl was brim full and very tasty (Scotch Broth) we then had a steak I had T Bone and my wife had a Oz Fillet Steak we both asked for medium and when they were served they were spot on with chips,mushrooms,onions,carrots and peas more than ample for two.
