"My wife and I stayed at this inn for one night while attending an airshow nearby. Dee and Geoff were friendly, professional, and attentive hosts. The building itself is charming, with a history of over 400 years. Our room was clean and well-equipped, although we were informed that the thick walls made wifi unlikely to work in the room. Wifi is available in the bar area. Due to the rural location, cell phone coverage is spotty, as we were also informed. We enjoyed a drink on the well-maintained lawn outside, but were advised against eating there due to insects from the nearby river. The inn is dog-friendly, which was a plus for us, but may not be for everyone. In the bar area, we had a delicious and reasonably priced dinner. For breakfast, we opted for a simple meal of juice, coffee, yoghurt, and cereal. The breakfast server was warm and friendly. Overall, we had a great experience and consider this inn a hidden gem. We look forward to returning in the future."

A great place to stay so close to fine walks and great racing stables, particularly that of Ben Pauling.

We had an accident outside the pub. The staff couldn't have been kinder to us. They provided tea and a warm place to stay while we waited for recovery. Very grateful for their kindness at a horrid time

Really lovely old worldly pub full of atmosphere. Food excellent, beautifully presented. Greeted by the owners dog, friendly but not over-friendly. Service was quick and served by pleasant staff. Would highly reccomend.

Only popped In for a quick birthday drink after a local walk and got greeted by a rude, abrasive women who clearly had no desire to serve us. Watch out, as welcoming as salt water to an open wound! Terrible. No wonder there was no one else drinking in their gardens, all been scared away!

I went to Fossebridge with my sister for lunch to revisit the place where our late mother worked as a cook in the 1960s. My sister and I also worked there briefly while living in Chedworth. The owner was very welcoming and we both enjoyed delicious fish and chips. The beautiful hotel hasn't changed much, except for the staff. We had a lovely day reminiscing and even visited some old neighbors in Chedworth. We will definitely be returning.

Met friends in this cold pub. Was told there was a radiator on in the other room which was full! The main bar area was so cold so I had to keep my coat on. There was no understanding from the landlord, although our waitress was friendly. The chicken pie had a very sloppy filling with virtually no meat, but the vegetables were ok. The exterior looked run down with loads of stone walling falling down and portacabins. There are so many other pubs in the Cotswolds and this one needs to improve.

My wife and I spent three nights at this establishment. The room was spacious and had a view of the pub's rear garden. We dined here every night and enjoyed all of our meals. It was refreshing to find a pub that still serves good pub food. This property is privately owned and it shows in the attention to detail. The staff were all very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The food was excellent and there was a great selection of real ales as it is a free house. Overall, the atmosphere was fantastic. We would definitely stay here again.

We’ve been before as we have a holiday home nearby and they are one of the few pubs in the area that serve food on a Monday lunchtime. We have always found the service to be excellent, the food is a mix of standard items you find on a pub menu and specials all the food is well cooked, fresh and tasty. This time we took our son for a Sunday lunch. We both had lamb and my wife went the half a roast chicken. Wife and son then shared a gorgeous fruit crumble. My son said it was one of the best Sunday lunches he has had tender and perfectly cooked meat, a fab Yorkshire pudding, steamed veg, roasties and lashing of perfect gravy. Extremely dog friendly with biscuits and bowels of water for them to...

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
