"My partner and I visited this restaurant as a couple and found the menu to be quite misleading. If you plan on dining here, be sure to clarify with the staff what exactly your meal will consist of. My husband ordered the steak cottage pie for £23, but was disappointed to find that it only came with two small slices of steak, half a carrot, and a small ramekin of actual cottage pie. We also ordered the "scallops," which turned out to be a single scallop cut into four tiny pieces. Although the food tasted good, it was served slightly cold, which was a letdown. We couldn't find the menu online, but we had enjoyed dining at the restaurant's previous location. However, our most recent visit left us unimpressed. I believe that the restaurant should not advertise these "main" dishes as actual main meals, as they are the same size as the smaller plates but cost twice as much."

Excellent tapas style menu but with a focus on asian inspired dishes which were delicious. Good service and a nice atmosphere to compliment the food

Consistently the best food I've had in years. Every dish chosen was of the same high standard. Beautiful flavours perfectly matched but equally distinctive. Great value considering the quality of the whole experience.

The food at Freckled Angel was absolutely fantastic! The meal was so delicious that none of us wanted it to finish. All 8 of us agreed that it was incredible and presented beautifully. The restaurant itself is also stunning. Thank you to everyone at Freckled Angel, Anna.

My partner and I visited Freckled Angel for the first time on Saturday since they relocated. The food was exceptional and wonderfully presented. Both of us have dietary restrictions, which can be difficult, but the staff member kindly checked with the kitchen to see which dishes we could enjoy and made adaptations as necessary. We really appreciated this. The restaurant also had a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely return!

We've been visiting the Freckled Angel for many years. It was always good and is going from strength to strength. Our latest meal was the best yet... and that is from an exceptionally high base. Small plates are a lovely approach, as it gives you a chance to try lots of delicious different things. Every dish was superb, distinctive and beautifully presented. It's also good value!! Staff are lovely, helpful courteous. Best restaurant in North Wales bar none, in our opinion, and we've eaten at all the top rated spots.

Don’t get a lot of nights out as a carer Picked this restaurant as it had good reviews. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. Advertised as a small plates/tapas. Refused to accept multiple orders as we like to order more if we aren’t full. We were made to order everything we might want in one go. All dishes came within 2 minutes of each other. Many of the dishes were already cold or luke warm. Only thing that was hot was the chips. Very disappointing. When we raised this with the manager she was very argumentative and defensive and wouldn’t accept our feedback. Saying that, our table server was very personable and the wine was excellent. We won’t be back.

"I've been to Dylans in Menai Bridge and always enjoyed it not this time. For the first half of our visit there was a stinging blue haze hanging in the air; the kitchen extractors clearly weren't functioning properly. Fortunately this cleared for the second hour we were there. Now to the service; after taking our drinks orders we waited nearly 15 minutes for them. Later, after staff had passed our empty glasses 20 times, we managed to order some second drinks by catching their attention. The food was the main problem; minuscule starters of crab and Welsh rarebit. My pizza came as a real surprise (as others have mentioned in previous reviews); gone is the thin crusted, well filled pizza of the past. The pizza is now about 20% smaller and my daughter mentioned that it looked like a child's portion. However, the main problem was the total lack of filling; there was a huge gap for at least an inch all round the pizza which was just fluffy dough. There were five tiny mussels on it and when I picked the mussel shells up they were so overcooked the shells turned to carbonised dust. I counted three tiny slices of red chilli. As others have mentioned, I realise the industry is having a hard time the price of the pizzas haven't gone up but the quantity and quality has plummeted and I would rather pay more to enjoy my meal. The pudding order came and was wrong. When the hot cross bun pudding came out it was still only on the wrong side of lukewarm. Don't get me started on the price of a pint of Aspalls £7.25, a price I would expect to pay in London. And before Lisa R replies that they would have replaced a dish, it would have been replaced with a similar disappointing dish....and no one bothered to ask us if everything was OK either during or after the meal anyway."
