"After a long day in Snowdonia national park, we search for a place to have good food. Strolling through the area, we saw wood fire shack, and m so glad we went in. The food was amazing! We ordered bread basket, guacamole tortilla chips, garlic bread with cheese n caramelized onions and some pizzas of course. Everything was delicious. Best of breads and wood fire pizza I have ever had! Even their garlic as well as tomato dip was yum! The place was clean, nicely decorated and cozy. The staff were so sweet and polite. Happy faces and good food. That's all we needed to end our long day!"

The pizza was fantastic, but the cocktails could use some improvement! It's great to have options like this in Bangor.

best pizza I had in the old, but do you like yourself and order a garlic dip, it is homemade and it is absolutely amazing! we came back today and I can also add that the cocktails are delicious and our waitress philippa (sorry, I don't know how to write the names) was a tight, so polite and sweet. I loved our time there!

Customer service is absolutely impeccable!! The staff were so friendly! On top of the kitchen service being so quick the staff still apologised for the wait! Also happy birthday to the lovely waitress who was still so upbeat and bubbly after working a 12 hour shift on her birthday! Beautiful restaurant and beautiful service! I visited the restaurant around 7 PM on a Friday without a reservation, and it soon became very busy. The decor was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered two special pizzas from the menu, the tandoori and Greek pizzas, along with a cheese and garlic bread. Everything was delicious and served hot, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Bangor; you won't be disappointed!

I visited last night for a meal, and it was truly a remarkable culinary experience! The service was outstanding; all the staff were courteous, friendly, and highly professional. The food was spectacular and arrived at perfect intervals. The cocktails were the best I've ever had, including two new favorites that I will always remember! The restaurant had a relaxing atmosphere with beautiful music playing. I will definitely be returning! Thank you for such a lovely evening.

"Tl;dr this chef and this team are on their way to a Michelin star, so get a reservation while you can. We visited here Saturday 29, where we enjoyed the tasting menu by current chef John Hollywood. Their tasting menu is averagely priced, comparable to Dublin’s Bastible, with 6 courses actual, and plenty of wine. Aside from the setup, nothing else is average. The staff at Boat House are second to none. The atmosphere is similar to Hof van Cleve, with chirpy, witty staff happily serving customers and following the mood of the table. Their sommelier and wine pairing is particularly special, with each bottle subverting the trend, unexpected, but without compromising on quality (see: Bastible cannot figure out wine). Their sommelier is a wine nerd who’s happy to go into as much depth as you want, but you feed off the passion between courses, which is a really great dynamic between the staff and the table this is rare, usually only achieved at top star restaurants. I’ve never found this in the island of Ireland. The food itself is the perfect mix of foraged from land and sea, each dish testing and surprising you, but with some classics mixed in (beef Barolo your reward for trusting the chef). On the whole, the menu seems designed to subvert comfort you in equal measure, and succeeds with every course. You won’t find the same level of experimentation from many of the Italian tasting menus on the circuit, but that comes with the assurances of consistent quality and a journey that’ll never let you down, where subversive wine pairings inject a level of exciting chaos without risking the food. Between the atmosphere, staff, and chemistry at the table in the kitchen, a trip to Boat House can be held in the same regard as some of the world’s top Michelin star restaurants. They’re on the way. They have the ingredients, whether you know it or not. Better start those birthday reservations now."
