"My first time in The Rabbit rooms, I love the light shades! we 'popped ' in for a quick/cheap bite before going to The Courthouse, what a lovely surprise, I actually wish we had just spent a couple of hours there, where the seats were comfortable, the food delicious and the staff treated us old pensioners like we were quests in their own home, the quantity and quality of our meals punched well above 'pub grub ' and that lovely big open fire made it hard to leave. And, it turns out they always have deals on food, making this a really great value place to eat at any time."

Went with a friend for some food. I got the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection along with the dirty tater tots. Also had the deep fried brie to start which again was out of this world. Top marks to the chefs.

Just wandered in off the street and we’re lucky enough to get a table upstairs with a view looking out over the street below. Atmosphere was cosy, warm and staff friendly. We settled for the set Sunday roast menu and food was well presented with good size portions. View menu

Went for lunch with a couple of friends, one of whom is gluten free. The chicken and rib combo was shared between two and was easily enough. Maybe a rugby second row could eat a whole one! Battered cod Gordon's were more like two whole fillets. Seabass also excellent. No room for afters. Great service. Reasonable prices.

Sad to say that weren't welcome at the Rabbit Rooms. 6 of us called in for a drink before going for dinner and we were told the only free table was reserved for the singer at 1830. It was only 1745 and we only wanted one drink before our dinner reservation at 1830 but to no avail. £30+ went into someone's else's till. We'll not trouble the Rabbit Rooms staff again

Rang this place last minute for a table and we were told to come on down. We had wings and Brie for starters, followed by carbonara and the delicious house curry. It was a beautiful meal. The room was lovely, stunning views of the marina and a lovely waitress there waiting for us. We haven’t been before but after this lovely evening, I think it’s our new go to restaurant. 10/10 View menu

Had a meal Sunday evening before going to The Courthouse for a concert. Should have saved our money and had dinner at home. If you're after burgers, ribs , chips and lots of fried food then menu should suit. Cod gougons were mostly batter. Side salad was just leaves and thin slices of onion. We mentioned this to waitress but she just said sorry. Why are so many pubs and restaurants in Bangor serving these boring meals which dont come cheap either.

We had a party for our sons 21st on Saturday 2nd Sept. From beginning to end the whole Rabbit Room team were helpful and accommodating.. They all went the extra mile to ensure our night went well.. We held our party in the big room on the middle floor. We could facilitate our own DJ and we had a dance floor. The bar was cash only which was no problem with our young guests (who don't do cash) as we let them know in advance to visit the ATM. We even had the priveledge of two delightful doormen. I would highly recommend this venue for a function.

"Tl;dr this chef and this team are on their way to a Michelin star, so get a reservation while you can. We visited here Saturday 29, where we enjoyed the tasting menu by current chef John Hollywood. Their tasting menu is averagely priced, comparable to Dublin’s Bastible, with 6 courses actual, and plenty of wine. Aside from the setup, nothing else is average. The staff at Boat House are second to none. The atmosphere is similar to Hof van Cleve, with chirpy, witty staff happily serving customers and following the mood of the table. Their sommelier and wine pairing is particularly special, with each bottle subverting the trend, unexpected, but without compromising on quality (see: Bastible cannot figure out wine). Their sommelier is a wine nerd who’s happy to go into as much depth as you want, but you feed off the passion between courses, which is a really great dynamic between the staff and the table this is rare, usually only achieved at top star restaurants. I’ve never found this in the island of Ireland. The food itself is the perfect mix of foraged from land and sea, each dish testing and surprising you, but with some classics mixed in (beef Barolo your reward for trusting the chef). On the whole, the menu seems designed to subvert comfort you in equal measure, and succeeds with every course. You won’t find the same level of experimentation from many of the Italian tasting menus on the circuit, but that comes with the assurances of consistent quality and a journey that’ll never let you down, where subversive wine pairings inject a level of exciting chaos without risking the food. Between the atmosphere, staff, and chemistry at the table in the kitchen, a trip to Boat House can be held in the same regard as some of the world’s top Michelin star restaurants. They’re on the way. They have the ingredients, whether you know it or not. Better start those birthday reservations now."
