"This restaurant seems old-fashioned and overhyped. I still hear childish chants from the staff as I walk by. They should consider reinstating Simon, who devoted 40 years of service until July 2022, to manage the place once more. The prices are quite high, and there has been a noticeable drop in customers since the quick refurbishment in August 2022. There's a lot more I could mention!"

"We were in Coventry for the weekend and chose this place because of the reviews on here and it was very near to the Odeon cinema complex where we were going. It did not disappoint! The food was excellent, very fresh and tasty. The place itself is very quirky but it’s clearly all about the food. Around £11 for a main course represented very good value for money and the man who served us was super helpful."

"Went to the recent reopening as a long-time fan of The Pod. The food is always different, and always inspired. Service is genuinely warm, as the pricing is humble and inclusive. The restrictions for COVID were very clear and easy to follow, and we felt very at ease during the lunch. The Menu is carefully selected, guided by dieticians, and for Vegan food out, hands down the best balanced meal one can get in Coventry, possibly even the Midlands, in my experience. There's no judgement or vegan propaganda whatsoever, and carnivores, pescatarians etc will not feel shortchanged in the slightest by the offerings. The Pod as an establishment is also a great hub for creatives and creative-thinkers, with echoes of cultural flourishings such as Time Union, Food Union, Supper Clubs, and other events. It remains welcoming to newcomers and tourists, and the serving system is relaxed and straight-forward with options for Gluten Free and clear indications for Nut Allergies. I would highly recommend anyone eating out in Coventry to try The Pod at least once!"

"Went here for the first time recently, absolutely love how customisable and affordable everything is. The vegan cheese isn’t the best and sort of gets lost at times, but you still get a nice creamy taste. The vegan fried chicken is good too. Would like to try the blondie but it looks a lot smaller on the counter than I was expecting. Would recommend booking aheadand ask for the vegan menu."

"we were in the odean and wandered to the city to eat something. I've been here with my friend and although she didn't like what she was eating last time she was here, I was happy to try again. there was a replacement table (on Saturday night lucky,) but they only take cash, so we asked them to keep the table while we found a money machine. the staff was very helpful and pleasant and we both enjoyed a beautiful meal. I think this meal has won my friend to eat Japanese, so we will definitely come back."
