"Stopped here for lunch. We were looking for a nice gasthaus & found this place right along the Main River. The menu had a good variety of choices. My husband & I both ordered the Jaeger Schnitzel which was made with pork & had a mushroom sauce. They were delicious & very filling. It's one of my favorite dishes from Germany. Many years ago we had lived in Germany in an area closer to France that made their schnitzels from pork. We had lunch with another couple. It was a very good leisurely meal. I think we had stayed almost 2 hours and were not once rushed to leave. The waiter & staff were very welcoming! The décor in the restaurant was charming. So glad we spotted this place for lunch!"

Lovely location; Small cosy pub- One of the best beers I tasted in Germany. The staff don't speak much English but they totally understand what you want:-)

Food was lame. Ok salad and pizza was blah. Bar lady acted like a guard at the bathroom when my daughter tried to use. They served locals first. Took for ever. If you are American, just go next door to the French place. Much better food and service. View menu

With tired kids, decided not to walk the extra 10 mins to the #1 restaurant, and did not regret it. I am usually not a big fan, but sausage, mustard, potato, and schnitzel were all great, not to mention beer and dessert. A fun place! And you get to try out some of your German, which is appreciated by the waitstaff

The ambiente of this small pub style restaurant is great. The place was packed but staff still friendly and very efficient. The food is typical German, okayish, but not really a higlight, the sausage was very good though. The Schlappen Seppel bier is one of the tastiest we had in Germany. All in all a nice place and 4 points mainly because of the ambiente.

We were in the mood for true German food, so we stopped here for lunch before tackling the museums of Sachsenhausen. We could tell from many of the customers that this was truly a local establishment because these folks were definitely regulars. That encouraged us. The wurst was good and the sauerkraut was terrific. The local beer also was tasty. Plus the place was very convenient. View menu

This very small restaurant is quite a surprise. Cozy, friendly even though not much English is spoken/understood by the owners, and offering an excellent food, wine and beer menu for such an unobtrusive, out-of-the-way place. All of the reviews that popped up when I went to write mine are in agreement: this pub is great. By the way, the food is really, really inexpensive. Same with beer and wine.

This is a really old fashioned bar/guest house right next to the bridge of the same name - across the river from the main square.Plenty of room inside to either sit at a table or at the bar - and a good selection of local food and drink to choose from. The bar is decorated in a real mixture of styles - so there's always something to look at - horse brasses, a great boar's head and the usual selection of foreign banknotes all on display. We had the weissbier - which was €4 for 0.5L.Pop in if your thirsty for a quick one!
