"Missed the ferry to Jura and ended up catching the last ferry to Gigha. However, didnt realise that the hotel was shut on Mondays in Winter season. Called in to the local shop to find this out around 5pm and worryingly realised even if there was room at the BnB we wouldn't be able to eat dinner as thats the only place on the island in Winter serving food. So the local shop keeper called his brother who is the chef at Hotel Gigha. The owner then called up the shop keeper and said he could open the hotel for one night and we managed to get the best room and a freshly cooked meal for two! Then left in the hotel alone until the next day. Awesome hospitality and a fantastically quaint mystical island. Will hopefully be going back again in summer!"

I couldn't get accommodation for the music festival this year, but I visited the day after and I'm so glad I did. The Gigha Hotel provided us with an unforgettable evening - with lovely people, amazing food, and a spontaneous concert in the pub. I can't wait to visit again. Thank you to everyone at the hotel!

Just spent the best 3 days in the island of Gigha, staying at the local hotel, it really is one of the most beautiful places in Scotland, the staff at the hotel were very friendly, food amazing, and the local gin second to none, met a few of the locals, they were able to give so much information on the island that we would never have found out, massive thanks to Alister and his good lady Fiona for making us feel so welcome ‘ can’t wait to return

During our three-week stay on Gigha this summer, we frequented the hotel for lunch and drinks in the garden. The hotel staff, including reception, restaurant, and the chef, were excellent in accommodating a severe food allergy for one of our party. They were able to cater to a variety of dietary requirements, such as nut-free and gluten-free meals, which was a pleasant surprise. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and served in generous portions, ideal after a day of exploring the island or playing on the beach. The waiting staff, particularly Silvija, were wonderful with our children, who now have lovely memories of Gigha, the hotel, and the people they met. We will definitely be returning a...
