"We went to the Asian Spice Night, it was really fantastic great food, well thought out and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Welcomed with a cocktail and then 4 courses later we all left happy. The venue is great, but it must be said that the atmosphere is better when the restaurant is full what it was. Themed nights are really good fun, you do not have to think about what you order and Greens really the trouble in. The staff was very good, the whole round was thrilled."

Not great to be fair! I am comparing this KFC in Luton to the one I use in Northampton at the weekends.

We had a very pleasant Sunday Lunch overlooking the golf course. It was excellent value for money at a set price.

Greens is one of the best restaurants around for miles. The food is excellent reasonably priced and good service. What more could you ask for!

Poor service today. One person on doing front of house. One person cleaning and one in the back. Queue is 8 deep. Very disappointing in customer service skills.

The Sunday lunch was lovely. The beef was very tender and cooked to perfection and was accompanied by a lovely selection of assorted vegetables, Yorkshire a d roast potatoes. Plenty of very tasty food and would definitely go back again.

Good experience, first time Sunday dining at Greens, Enjoyable experience, Sunday roast and fish alternative were excellent. However starters aren’t as good as weekday choice and no gluten free options for desert apart from fresh fruit was disappointing.

We had a nice Sunday dinner in Greens. Enjoy it really, watching the golfers while you have a very pleasant lunch. The starters were beautiful, especially the Scotch egg. I had a pig bell, my husband had beef. Everything was well cooked, much it really pleasant. The staff was all polite to help. A very beautiful Sunday afternoon.

This was our third visit. Not as good as the first two. Starter was very sparse a tiny piece of smoked salmon looked lonely on the plate. Main course roast beef slightly tough but very tasty and plentiful. Potatoes just about OK other veg good specially broccoli cheese yorkshire puds smaller than before. Puddings quite acceptable. Could do with more choice of beer. Missed the cheerful lass who served us previously.

"I wondered why this restaurant described itself on the board outside as ‘fusion’, why there were so many Korean dishes on the menu and why the serving staff have heard of Asahi beer but haven’t heard of The Asahi Shimbun, a Japanese daily newspaper that is at least 50 years old. The answer is that the Akasaka website isn’t being completely honest when it describes their Northampton branch as a Japanese restaurant. They aren’t really Japanese, although some of their menu items are clearly Japanese. Don’t let that put you off, however, as they are serving excellent food and we enjoyed our meal there very much. It cost us about £70 (inc. 10% tip) for our meal for two people including a 175ml glass of Sauvignon Blanc for my lovely wife and two 330ml bottles of Asahi Dry for me. The sushi was excellent, the edamame beans were great but we didn’t feel that the Dolsot Bibimbap (a Korean dish with loads of rice, some shredded vegetables, prawns and a fried egg on top) offered very good value for money at just under sixteen pounds. We would recommend Akasaka in Northampton and would certainly go there again, but if we want a genuinely Japanese meal, prepared and served by Japanese staff, then we will be sticking to Ginza Restaurant on Wellingborough Road in Northampton. Don’t like the way that the male members of staff at Sakura on Bridge Street speak to their female colleagues, very disrespectful, so we avoid that Japanese restaurant nowadays. Great to have a choice of three Japanese restaurants in Northampton post-pandemic, and our favourite of the three is Ginza."
