Really great food. The momo dumplings were particularly delicious! Friendly and welcoming service. Will definitely be visiting again.

this was a last minute with the order away and I was a little surprised at the price increase since the last time we have eaten in just about three weeks.

Wow!! Was told of the place by a mate at work as I have only moved to the area recently and I was not disappointed. From the warm welcome, the friendly staff and then the great food, this has to be the best place in...Barnstaple to eat.

Staying in Barnstaple during a walking holiday and visited the Gurkha Restaurant. We were made very welcome and having selected from the extensive menu enjoyed an excellent meal with great service. The chef was very talented and his cuisine was very tasty, well presented and...at a reasonable price. Recommended.

We ordered a takeaway for a large party celebration on a Saturday night. The food was delicious, good portions and enjoyed by all tastes. The staff were friendly on pick up and as it was a large order they telephoned to say it would take...a bit longer to prepare so we did not have to wait around. Both me and my partner had the everest curry and it was delicious! His was mixed meat and mine was adapted vegetarian. Veggies take note, all of the chefs specials can be made vegetarian, so noone misses out Service was very good, owners...are so friendly, restaurant is decorated nicely with traditional background music. I would recommend and will be going back...

we booked last minute for a Friday night while we visited barnstaple and when we arrived there was no table for us. the restaurant was small and very busy, we took its popularity as good sign. the personal could no longer have been apologetic. about our short waiting time, and even gave us free drinks. they were so friendly and helpful. we enjoyed our meal and it was nice to try something else than we had no Nepalese cuisine before. we'd see each other next time.

After we have read so many great critikens and are new in the opposite, we thought we would treat ourselves with a farewell of gurkha. my man had the Himalaya lamb he thought was delicious. dissapointingly, I had the swadiloo chicken, that was one of the worst chicken curries I've ever eaten. the huh was swedish and very cheap, and the soss was like tomatensuppe. unfortunately we will not come back to visit again. the garlic nan was nice. when my man had enjoyed his star.
