Great experience once again love the place had a great laugh with the bar staff and wonder full time with friends

We had our group's Christmas meal. It was delicious, couldn't fault it. The service was excellent, they couldn't do enough for us.

New menu has a good selection of dishes. The staff were friendly and helpful, our waitress Darcei was excellent. The food was tasty and the prices are reasonable.

Another great experience. Sausage and mash as usual for me delicious! Great selection of drinks and fabulous prices and all with beautiful views of the river. The team are always friendly, efficient great. Go Team Hanbury!

Stopped off for lunch during break food was lovely and hot a didn't take long to arrive, was served by friendly and polite staff member called Rachel will definitely recommend the venue to friends and family and will be returning for food again in future. View menu

Had a lovely meal with my partner I had the cowboy burger he had mixed grill both cooked freshly and came quickly. Also had a lovely waitress who served us called Rachel very polite and assisted us with how to pay for parking was very informative and helpful highly recommend this establishment great atmosphere and service.

This is a classic pub and has a castle attached. Located at a beautiful spot on the river with sheep on the other side, this was a great find. Alfred Lord Tennyson was a patron when he visited in 1856. The castle turret is what is left and there is a knight on the top on a horse and holding the flag of Wales. Be sure to walk around the back for a good view of it as it makes for a great photo opportunity. They have cask ales and I had a Doom Bar. The fish and chips was good and served with peas. Definitely a great place for a pint and more.

We came here for our Christmas lunch. The whole experience from the warm welcome we received, the food, atmosphere and service throughout was exceptional. Felicity was our waitress, as soon as we were seated she came and took our drinks order which arrived within minutes. She checked on us during every course and none of us had anything negative to say! The food was delicious, the gravy was superb! The veg was cooked perfectly, not mushy just right! I can’t fault our experience from start to finish and for the money we paid it was great value for money! We will definitely be booking again for next year and will encourage our extended family to do the same! Thanks for making our day! View menu
