Fantastic breakfast with friends, loved the pancakes and was made even better as Laura served us. She's always so happy and welcoming whenever we visit.

The restaurant has a charming, laid-back ambiance. It is family-friendly, with nicely spaced tables that allow for a comfortable dining experience. The food was served promptly and came out piping hot. Overall, it is a great value for the price.

I frequent this restaurant twice a week with friends, and the service is excellent. Mina takes great care of us and often has our coffee ready before we even sit down. She is polite, friendly, and very skilled in her role. The service is top-notch. View menu

Arrived and shown to our table, floor disgustingly dirty, ordered drinks and given salad bowls but the server actually had her hand inside the bowl. Salad and rolls okay. Mains arrived but never cleaned empty bowls or glasses off table. Out of the four meals two were okay if you like overcooked fish, the two burger meals were so overcooked dry just awful. Only visited as visited the beehive in Gants Hill all had same meals but completely different standard of service, cleanliness and food. Would I return no Colchester no very poor!

We arrived at around 8pm after a long day at the zoo. The car park was full so we were fully expecting to be turned away but the kids (aged 6 8) were hungry so we tried anyway. We were greeted very warmly by a gentleman who thankfully gave us a table. Our waitress was Laura and she was absolutely fabulous! Our little girl took a real shine to her. She said “Mummy, our waitress is really happy and so kind”. Laura was so interactive and made both the kids giggle. Our little girl would have kept her chatting all night . The food was also really yummy. Can’t fault anything and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Came here yesterday with my family first time in ages since we have been here was lovely to see nothing had changed. The staff was very welcoming and friendly when we arrived and quickly got us a table we roughly knew what we was ordering as we had looked on the menu before hand but still looked to see some wonderful dishes. We orderd a mac and cheese for the little one with the Double Dirty Combo and two Pitmasters when the food arrived it looked so good was hot so you can tell it was fresh and hadn't been sitting around for ages was well worth the money and will definitely be coming back for more as we have been a fan of this place for many years and have never had any problems. We booked a few hours before our arrival so was unable to get an time our preferred slot so booked at 4:15 which was fine for us. We have eaten here before so knew what to expect. What made it better this time was our excellent server Laura she was very cheery and helpful and interaracted well with our grandson who is six taking his order first which made him feel important she also brought his meal just before ours so it could cool. She also pretend to eat his desert which made him laugh. The food was all excellent especially the mega combo I had, so much meat all cooked to perfection the best part been the pork belly which melted in the mouth. I visited Stanway harvester this evening with my family. On arrival I was seated by a friendly man. Our server then came over and took our drinks order and we received them almost straight after. I don’t know her name but she was very attentive. She was very knowledgeable when I had questions regarding the menu. Salad bar was clean and I much prefer it not being self serve especially under the current climate, it was a much more hygienic way compared to when we were able to help ourselves. We booked here last minute when let down by a well known Roast dinner provider nearby. We called to request a booking for 15 family members for my daughters 6th birthday, and straight away the gentleman on the phone was polite, friendly and accommodating, booking us in at our requested time straight away. When we arrived, our table wasn't quite ready for us due to a shift change, so our host personally arranged for this to be fixed straight away in super quick time.
