"Gave it a 2nd chance. Our first experience a few days after opening was simply chaotic. 1.5 hrs waiting time. People leaving without paying and/or eating etc....Unfortunately not much has changed. It took again more than 1 hour to serve simple dishes such as meat balls, French fries and Spaetzle. A salad was completely missing and the kitchen did not manage to get it out before everybody else finished eating. So you better come because of the great environment, bring a lot of time and most important eat before hand."

We are happy to reach the Hofgut Maxau on foot. We were there several times, also with a celebration and were very satisfied. Very friendly staff and a delicious cuisine, with regional dishes regional ingredients and without unnecessary additives. Surprising, delicious organic wines. A real secret tip. ... in the evening the path is only very dark, the city could be taken a bit. It is also good to reach by tram.
