Hoi Shing - Menu

three of us went to dinner in hoi shing and at the end of dinner we decided that this was the best Chinese food in the opposite. the service was fast and friendly, and the portions were generous.

Visited last Friday night for a sit in meal. Ordered the meal for 2 for 20.50 each and it was absolute gorgeous food. Good service, good beer and quick serving of food. Would definitely recommend to anyone!!!

We dropped in just as the restaurant opened for the evening. Ken, the waiter was very friendly and welcoming. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. Portion sizes were more than ample. This is a really good place to eat.

Friends took us here whilst we were visiting Dawlish. As there were 4 of us, we each chose a different dish and shared. The quality of food was top notch and the flavours were a lot better than most takeaways I've ever had. Can't wait...to visit Dawlish again.

order was delivered on time and warm we ordered chicken balls in teig, which were beautiful and bbq sauce. we also had noodles with buzzing and it was meh, we ordered duck in plumen sauce 8,10 and the duck had gristle and it. had no taste, what ever. most of it went to waste. the chicken noodle soup tasted like water and was also was wasted. the Satay sauce on the other side was amazing and made the nudes editable:

This is a typical chinese restaurant that does not differ much to any other Chinese up and down the country. The food was OK and the portions were sufficient. The plates were warmed so that the food didn't go cold too quick. What made this...place good was how pleasant the staff were. They checked if anyone had any allergies and they were quick with the service even though they appeared to be in a panick with the number of guests they were dealing with. Compared with other similar restaurants I did find this one a bit expensive.

We eat here on New Years Eve heading into 2020. The food was lovely especially the starters. The entertainment was the fact that the manager only had two waitresses supporting him who had only started in the job very recently. He was having to deal...with a long string of people calling to order food or arriving to collect takeaways on top of the people like us who were in the restaurant. The waitresses were trying their best and despite making some what we thought were amusing mistakes we got what we ordered and had a great meal and I am sure the owner will have the waitresses fully trained soon! Eat here is you are in Dawlish!

I ordered from here a few times before and had no problems, but I will not order from them again. the food arrived an hour after the latest estimated delivery time and the restaurant did not even give us an update. we have several. time ranked and it's just out. I appreciate that a Saturday night may be busy, but it is unacceptable that it should be an hour too late and not even send a text. When it finally arrived, no apology was given. After accepting the delivery, I opened it to discover that it wasn't even right! 3 of the articles we had ordered were replaced by something completely different! they save themselves the hate and order from somewhere else.
