Great food, Great atmosphere, Great Staff. The kind of place you could sit for hours. Our waitress Karina was fantastic and attentive. Great afternoon spent.

We had the battered fish and the hake, both of which were delicious. Paul, our waiter was brilliant, helping to ensure we had a wonderful evening. Highly recommend!

Simply put, you must go to this restaurant. Indulge in their family deal featuring some of the best seafood I've ever tasted. Unbelievable. They also offer a great selection of wine.

My partner and I had a fantastic Valentine's Day dinner at the Crab Shack. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, and Alex provided exceptional service as our host. We're looking forward to returning soon.

Delicious food and very attentive service. We stayed in the flat above a few years ago but just visited the restaurant this time. We had The Hake and mussels for main and faultless, great portion size. We booked ahead to secure a table a lovely intimate atmosphere with friendly staff.

I came to Crab Shack on the beach with 15 Dawlish u3a members. Ellie worked hard serving food and drinks. Excellent service. Alex organised the meal so well by giving us each our order card. We took our order card and paid individually. The chefs cooked Singapore Chilli Crab, Teign Mussels, Charred Monkfish, Sour Dough Battered Fish, Confit Duck Leg, Excellent food choices. Sadly quite underwhelming. We’ve eaten here quite a few times over the last 7 or 8 years. Clearly a new direction but it’s a no from us! The food was tasty enough and staff lovely…..but… I had the special monkfish dish. £40 for literally three mouthfuls. No veg so that was extra. My wife had crab curry again quite flavoursome but just somehow lacking for the market they are trying to be in and quite difficult to eat. Go back to fresh fish cooked how you like it….. chain restaurants like Rockfish are better. I hate leaving average reviews too.

Alex did a great job organizing our meal by giving each of us our own order card. We were able to pay individually, which was convenient. This was our 2nd time eating in the crab shack, we booked at the beginning of the week to ensure we got a table and took the kids for an experience and the food, the staff are lovely the food is awesome, lovely place to eat however this time was a bit disappointing , asked for a beer of the menu, not available, no oysters, no mussels, no clams completely understand seafood is all seasonal so no drama, we opted to share a hot platter, (as this came with a whole lobster plus extras for only an extra £10 vs the cost of a lobster) and told they would swap the mussels and clams for extra something else as didn’t have these items.
