"Really liked this place! Arrived early for lunch and had a couple of drinks in the beer garden. Just so quiet and tranquil with a stream at the bottom. Perfect spot. Went inside for food, slightly old world feel but was actually so relaxed, table by the window with those views. Was Sunday so roast in order, with beef, pork and chicken. Meat was very generous and heaps of shared veg. Had whole plaice myself which was fresh and cooked perfectly, with a basket of chips. Had deserts and stayed ages!!! Not expensive, mains were £15 but very good value. Absolute gem of a pub!!!"

Lovely cozy village pub. Best pub food in the area. Interesting menu, beautifully prepared. Nice range of local beer on tap. Friendly, welcoming staff (and locals! .

The pub food you want done superbly well! Cannot complement the chef enough. All the staff were great and the live guitarist/singer was also excellent. A true gem of a pub

This country pub is charming. We had a family lunch here and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating for our elderly relatives. They truly went above and beyond for us. The food was delicious and the roast potatoes were amazing! View menu

Came in here very briefly for refreshment whilst waiting for a lift after a long hike around the hills. Luckily they had not closed yet. Very nice pub, kind friendly staff, nice cosy atmosphere, lots of character. Wouldn’t mind visiting again if I’m over this way again.

The menu is small, but the food is delicious. There were only a few locals at the bar, but the dining area was full for quite some time. The restaurant has a rustic feel, fitting for a hidden village. There is a small but charming garden in the back that overlooks a field. Overall, I would recommend this place for its tasty food.

Went for dinner with my husband the other night. Such a charming pub with really lovely staff. Nice that they are from all over the UK and they were all very attentive. The food was incredible! My husband had Hake and I had chicken Caesar salad, both very tasty. Would highly recommend and will be certainly back when we return to the area. View menu

Booked a table for two for Sunday lunch, we arrived on time and was put on a table next to the toilets with people walking past us and a smell of loos throughout the meal, most of the roasted potatoes had been cooked several times. On the good side the staff were good and so was the meal except for the potatoes. Tip: don't book a table for a late Sunday lunch and don't sit in the corner next to the toilets.

On our second visit last week, we sat outside in the lovely patio and garden area, overlooking the village church and surrounded by flowers. We had excellent dishes such as bang bang cauliflower, hake and cod mornay, and salmon and prawn linguine, which were all delicious. The St Clements posset with shortbread topped off our meal perfectly. We left feeling full and satisfied. We highly recommend this pub and will definitely be returning again.
