"We received a lukewarm reception at the restaurant, and were then asked to pay an additional £10 for the room, despite being quoted a set price of £120. We refused this extra charge. The staff also requested that we pay upfront in cash, which was a new experience for us after 20 years of staying in hotels. The room itself was very small, requiring us to store our suitcases in the bathroom to prevent tripping over them. However, the bathroom was quite nice, the bed was comfortable, and the room was very clean. In our opinion, a more reasonable price for the room would be around £80."

We had a wonderful family meal at Caravan. We stumbled upon this gem by chance and will definitely come back again. The restaurant is kid-friendly and offers great value for the delicious dishes.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. We ordered food from the takeaway next door and enjoyed a drink while waiting for our order. The owner was very friendly and even offered for us to eat our takeout in the pub and enjoy a beer. Thank you for the generous offer! We wish them all the best and good luck with their kitchen.

I have been coming to this restaurant for six years and it has always been a cozy little pub with delicious food at very affordable prices. Everything on the menu is priced at under ten dollars. There is a charming beer garden and the restaurant has recently been renovated, giving it a fresh new look. The pool table is still there for patrons to enjoy.

"Staff were very friendly, welcoming and efficient. They were also very kind to our dog. We had drinks and food and though the drinks were good, the food was not. The words 'frozen ' and 'microwave ' were forefront in my mind throughout. The mash potato I had with my pie was face meltingly hot suggesting the microwave was used, and my wife 's battered fish was mushy and watery suggesting it was deep fried from frozen. The batter was also only about 1mm thick and was like wise mushy. The meat in my chunky steak pie was definatly chunky but was a little too firm (not tough, just not tender. Probably the wrong cut of meat rather than badly cooked). I then had the caramel apple pie as did another member of my party. While his was hot, mine was cold. I had mine with cream which when it arrived, had bubbles in and was luke warm. What I think happened was that mine was microwaved first and then drowned in cream and left to sit while the other was microwaved. This mean mine cooled in the cream while the cream warmed. It also meant that the pastry on the bottom went soggy, and from the rest of the pastry, it didn 't seem like it had much crisp to begin with. Now I know that times are hard and pubs like this can 't be expected to make everything from scratch, but there are 3 other pubs close by and unfortunately this one is doing nothing to stand out from the others, in terms of food anyway. Overall, a nice place for a quiet drink, but I 'll not be back for the food. The only saving grace was the price; £80 for 2 rounds of drinks (1 pint, 1 coke and 2 halves per round), 4 mains and 2 desserts...I suppose you get that you pay for though..."
