I am a historical customer, but I must unfortunately say that there has been a decline compared to the past. we took the degotation menu: good meat but not the fried cake which was fried and greased, always excellent rice stamp, roasted ham to the mushrooms badly cut and badly presented, weak point the sweets: Home-made cakes heated with microwave, chocolate-tree exaggeratedly sweet, aroma oven cream. summer veranda very nice and fresh, but toilets are dirty and unpleasant. the unsuitable waiter serves dishes by fingering the food. the price is consistent.

We sat down to eat at 1pm. After repeatedly attempting to catch the eye of a waiter/waitress., one of us eventually got up (at 1.50) to see the wine list and maybe even, you know, order food. We had 7 children with us who were white and silent by the time the first dishes arrived shortly before 3pm. We had to remind them about orders when they didn't come and, by the time we were asking for deserts at 4pm., at least one was no longer available. Rather than relaxing, it was stressful. The amount of salumi for €28 was absurdly small. We munched on torta fritta by themselves.

We did a stopover in Sala Baganza on our way to Tuscany. In the evening we had dinner at the „I Pifferi“. Location was nice and calm, we had a nice table in 4 on the terrace outside, in between the trees. Not a lot of guests have been there, despite it was a Friday evening. Maybe August holiday season was the reason. Anyhow, we had 4 different Antipasti dishes (antpasti I Pifferi, involtino di melanzane, Sfogliatina ai porcini, insalata mista), accompanied by delicious gnocchi fritti. Well made, nice and crispy outside.
