cannot say enough about this stunning restaurant. came back several times, only for the pizza, friendly waiter and great service. very impressed by the waiter who opened bottles over his shoulder! can not recommend ideal bar enough!

rode on motorcycle from cannes to castellane on the morning without proper pants and was completely frozen. in this bar, to become alive again with hot tee and coffee and also to load my phone. very friendly witness, authentic interier. Thank you!

We loved the look of this place as soon as we walked past, very inviting and friendly. We shared a Nemo Pizza and a Vegetarian Burger and both these are so fresh and tasty. You can tell the owners take pride in their menu, and...prepare it all with homemade passion and flavour. A big choice on the menu too.

Considering the menu and the prices (compared to others in Castellane) we didn't expect much. But it topped most of the other restaurants we ate that week! Tuna sandwich is very good, panninis looked great, loved their ice cream and salad was basic but tasteful....Service is a real plus: the waiter is kind and fast. Nice beer according to husband

We visited at lunchtime and the service was very good. It was easier because the waiter could speak English and we chatted with him a little. I ordered a mushroom omelet and my friend ordered a club sandwich with tomato, ham and cheese. Each of...us got a few bits of lettuce with a dressing on it which they called a salad. There was nothing special about the omelet. It was nicely browned on the outside. Not a lot of cheese in it though. My friend didn’t like her sandwich. She said the mayonnaise tasted funny.

Clearly this place is geared up for the large number of camping families locally, so the menu is simple and cheap. The tables are cramped and small. Food is pre-prep/packet/tin, but ours was ok (omelette and tortellini) and my iced coffee was good. Table next...to ours had to send back their chicken salad as the chicken was red inside! Service was cheerful and pretty quick, snack meal with 2 drinks cost 22 euros. Toilets were a bit grim and very wet. La Taverne next door has similar style of menu but more room and better tables.

I am am amazed at the last review of this bar, which complains about the service and also the fact that the guests were not allowed to sit. the outdoor dining area is very pleasant and I was under the impression that in times of covid. Indoor food was not allowed anyway, which could explain why they were asked to stay outside. regardless of this we had a very good lunch today, not planned, just on the road to foot as we found parking outside. the staff was friendly and helpful and made sure that we had a nice table, despite the fact that my husband was waiting for us....we were served quickly, had the menu explained us, and arrived at all our foods and drinks in no time. my man had a pasta c...
