"We ran into this restaurant while we were hunting craft beers in Italy. Il Santo Bevitore isn’t a top craft bar, but we loved it. A tiny doorway openening onto Via Galleria (42/B) leads to a compact bar of regulars. Farther along is a good sized dining room with windows onto a courtyard and walls festooned with breweriana. The best of Italian craft beer can match those of any other country and even an “average” craft Italian has soared in quality in the last several years. Still, they challenge the palate and we appreciate a lager break once in a while. Il Santo Bevitore only has a handful of taps, but one is Augustiner’s Edel Hell—one of the best lager beers in the world—in good condition. An unusual IPA from Balladin, Asteroid 56013, served to remind us we were still in Italy, but would be above average even in the states. Food is home cooked, very reasonably priced and served in staggering proportions. If we lived in Bologna, we’d be loyal members of the devoted fans of this simple, welcoming, and thoroughly enjoyable watering hole. I do better spagethi at home. It was plain, no sauce not even oil. No sauce beside it And my friends sandwich was like from the cheapest fast food place. Didnt like it at all.

characteristic local in the heart of the bologna! Spacious rooms and staff very kind and smiling. we stayed at dinner Saturday evening, excellent tagliatelle with ragù and the cotoletta to the Bolognese. good choice of beers at the plug.

Every time I visit Bologna I visit this place. It is a gem of a place with great food, huge selection of beer, live sport and great staff who always welcome you back with huge smiles. I would recommend this place to anybody. Keep up the good work Luca and Nati. View menu

the place is not that it is fantastic. Maybe it should be given a remodel, but the negative things end there. very kind owners, good beers with wide selection) and great variety of dishes. the meatballs to the divine mortadella. We'll definitely come back. warning: plentiful moooled portions!

dinner in this place that fortunately was not full, very kind and helpful staff. the girl who served us, I think she was also the owner, she well summoned us on what to get of typical and I have to say that we were really excited about this. at the end of the dinner offered us a pleasant pistachio liquor.
