"Our group was a blend of fully German & fully Canadian. They were kind enough to provide us with German & English menus. This restaurant has a great selection of German fare. Our waiter (we think his name was Johannes, see the photo to confirm) was excellent and was very knowledgeable about the menu (his English was awesome too). He was also able to substitute some items to enhance the experience. We tried 3 different types of schnitzel and all were excellent. Great selection of beer/beverages too. Beginning to end...everything excellent. We can't say enough about Im Stiefel...if your in Bonn, stop in, you will be delighted with everything. Johannes made it for us!"

Great meal and service. I had a huge goats cheese salad and the 'boys' enjoyed the pork, sausage and bacon. Reasonable price. Typically German. Lovely service.

A nice place to eat good German food. We went there for a late lunch so it was not busy. We had some typical food like Spätzle and Schnizel, which were very tasty.

Classic German pub experience. Love the architecture and interior of the place. Only came for a beer, but that was enough to get the feel of the place. Close to Beethoven House is also a bonus.

The venue itself is very nice, decorated in the old german style. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Food... woow, it's incredible tasty! We love german cuisine and this one is very good and definitely worth a try. Hope to come back soon to try new goodies. Thank you for a great experience! View menu

I know my review is biased as I often judge places based on the vegetarian option. In this case the 'cheese noodles' weren't something I enjoyed unfortunately. My companion's schnitzel and potatoes were good based on what he said however very oily. Central location and good atmosphere but I probably wouldn't go again.

A good German restaurant for standard German food and drinks. I didnt rate it as very good or excellent because the food is simple and plain, so is the comfort of the seatings and the service. Just as you might expect from a restaurant like this. There is a terrace outside, but next to a loud and busy traffic lane. Worth a visit if your expectations arent that high!

The food was a bit greasy and overpriced. I did not like the fact that they adjust the volume of food per person, if it is a children the plate has less food than an adult and the price is the same. The service was very good, but the management goal is to make profit instead of providing good quality. Again our favorite part was the good service from the young staff. View menu

We ate here last night and the food was lovely. It was a bit touch and go as to whether they could seat us anywhere as most of the tables were reserved. But we did manage to squeeze in. Glad we did because the food was lovely. It was freshly cooked and served piping hot. Good prices too. Dinner and drinks for two came to just under €40. I recommend this place if you want warming, well cooked, value for money food. Just remember to pop in and reserve a table first.

Bonn is a charming city on the Rhine, known for Beethoven's birthplace. Typical dishes include Sauerbraten, Rhenish mussels, and Himmel un Ääd, a mix of mashed potatoes and apples.
