"On our ttip to the Sauerland area we had our first stop for lunch in Soest. We have visited this town before and it is always nice to walk through the old center once again. We went to the restaurant Im Wilden Mann and because...the outside terrace was fully occupied in the autumn sun we went inside and got a table in the middle of the restaurant. We opted for a warm lunch and apart from the normal menu there were also some daily dishes to choose from. It was a good meal that we got and we were satisfied by the food and the service. The restaurant celebrated its birthday end of the week we were there and if a place can survive that long they surely do something well. It is also a hotel but after lunch we drove on to our destination in Brilon and did not take part in the jubilee celebration. I'm sure it still was a busy feast"

Enjoyed dinner here with a co-worker. Had a typical German dish with beer. Service was good and the food was great

Very friendly staff, great service, good choice of beers on tap, good food at a very descent price. The wide variety of food and in particular the wide variety of asparagus specialties was impressive

We went to that restaurant to have lunch. In a very cosy, traditional surrounding we were well served and were very satisfied with the food. There are not only local dishes, but also Mediterranean-inspired meals

A lovely quiet outdoor evening meal that didn’t fail to impress. Both of us had the steak which was a superb piece of meat. The fries and side salad was outstanding too. A beautiful setting in a stunning Medieval town View menu

Called in here on a Saturday, without a reservation, and we were not disappointed. The beef and pork skewer was one of the best meals I have ever had. The meat was cooked to perfection and so tasty. Service was also very good

Needing somewhere to eat, we decided to eat here and were not disappointed. We had starters and main and the quality of the food was excellent. The staff are friendly and the price was reasonable. We might try the hotel next time!

Just arrived at Dortmund airport and a visit to Soest has become a habit. Lunch or dinner Im Wilden Mann is going the same way of becoming a tradition. The food arrived quickly and was simply put great. Special attention to the waiter who had...special attention to our daughter offering the "Wilder Mann Wunder Tute"...some distraction till the food. Nice place to eat we asked for an English menu and had our waiter could speak English. Food came out really quick and a nice place to eat. Bad thing when we ask for our bill another waiter came and I gave her note...she just didn't offer me my change and took it for granted it was a tip, she didn't even serve us a bad end to a good night . I would have tipped our waiter

My first night in Germany, after a long, hour drive in torrential rain , and most restaurants already fully booked just three days before Christmas. But the very friendly waitress found me a quiet corner and I was very quickly brought a delicious glass...of Reisling and a menu. I started with the smoked salmon and potato cakes, a German favourite of mine, followed by three mini schnitzel on toast with a mushroom sauce. It was good but not outstanding. Had I not had to leave the table due to it being reserved, I would like to have stayed longer and had a further glass of wine. Next time I shall make sure I book
