"In this exceptionally rainy November 2019 in Florence, we took advantage of a lightening of a few hours, foreseen by the meteorological service, to cover a short walk (6 Kms in the Mugnone river valley, around Caldine. But being Sunday, we took it easy; and the result is that we returned down to Caldine around 3pm. At this time, we no longer hoped that any eaterie would provide us with decent food. Instead, luckily, we were addressed by a local to In piazza . The manager, very courteous, despite the late hour, made us sit down and told us about several appetizing first courses. Between them, both of us chose pici (a kind of typical Tuscan spaghetti with ragu. As main dish, a cut (shared of Chianina beef, with a salad side. Both dishes were to die for. We didn 't expect that a restaurant with such a modern appearance (some might say impersonal had a home cooking so qualified. Talking with the owner, we learned that he is original from Portovenere (Liguria , a town towards which he still commutes weekly. This explains the presence and variety of seafood dishes, in addition to those exquisite which we have tasted. The bill, including two glasses of (good red wine and a small bottle of water, amounted to 52 euros: a quite fair figure. Highly recommended restaurant!"

excellent welcome with the kindness of the owner. very nice local, fish restaurant and pizzeria, with ease of parking. cured dishes, abundant, good fish and excellent Arabic bread. prices are not modest, but I think they are suitable for dishes. pleasant atmosphere. recommended.

Wonderful dinner. We don’t speak Italian well, which was a challenge for the staff, but they did everything they could to help us out. We made it work with our bit of Italian and their bit of English. The food was wonderful. Really great seafood. So happy we found this place. Worth a detour!

the restaurant is in decentralized position, it is not very large and entering seems more a bar; but the food is great and the punctual service. the owner is very helpful, he has illustrated his passion for the cuisine of Portovenere, from which he comes, which finds fully confirmation in the quality of the fish he prepares.

I have the great good fortune to live (proprio) directly above IN PIAZZA, and go there every day, often twice! The people are absolutely lovely, it is clean and bright, well appointed, fully stocked, and offers outdoor seating.... and that wood-burning oven (and pizzaiolo) turns out pizzas and breads to die for. CONSIGLIATISSIMO !!!!
