"have been a few times and each time when the portion sizes were very different. for the first time, nice large portion of french with the burger. when I ordered it the next time, there was the half of the load. scampi and chips came with about chips. I really thought. they had given me a part of the child. when I asked the server, she explained that there were certain portion sizes, but offered to bring me some more. a page sequence of chips is only about chips. because it is a demolition. once came the cake with boiled, carrots, brokkoli and maische and the next time he came only with brokkoli and maische. the crumb comes with a tiny part of the crumble. this is embarrassing because I had previously recommended the crumb, based on the generous lashes of the cripple. The chicken vacier comes with about small chicken pieces. the plate is salat and pommes. because it's a sweat. I think they have to deal with closed eyes. I have said that the pub hits or measures, depending on how busy it is. if it seems to be busy, they can't handle it. I would only recommend during the hours of the speech. Monday Wednesday morning we had no problem with everything. there are weeks and evenings when the chefs seem to be closed and they get given scrap. I used an NHS discount every time for the luck. the full price would be absurd. the only plus side is the bar staff. ella and caren are fantastic. probably embarrassing to work there, but really friendly. and eating is nice when there is enough of it."

We found this lovely pub by chance. We had never been in before until weeks ago. The food is excellent lovely and hot and tasty. Great atmosphere with the staff. We went on Sunday for the Sunday Roast. Absolutely Gorgeous lovely Roast beef and Lamb shank with gorgeous roast potatoes and veg. A Yorkshire so big with fantastic tasting gravy. Also shared the Eton mess which was the best one ive had for years. We've been in today my partner had a steak I had the lamb shank. Well done to you all. We really felt like old friends.

Visited yesterday and although it was visibly very busy with a long queue to get drinks, the queue was quickly dealt with and when we reached the bar the staff were extremely friendly even under the pressure they must have been under, the pub was...full with a great atmosphere and looking around there wasn’t a dirty table in sight. To be honest, when arriving we did consider going elsewhere but I am so glad that we stayed service was individualised and the staff made time to recommend drinks and discuss options with us. Honestly felt so welcome and will definitely be revisiting! playlist was also amazing)

"My friend kindly decided to take me another friend along to this her local pub for Xmas lunch on the 12th of December which we were all looking forward too, as we have eaten there before. Unfortunately on entering the pub it seemed quite cold as there was no open fire lite when we asked they told us they had run out of kindling, so we kept out coats on for sometime until we all warmed up. Then when we kindly asked for the menu unfortunately they had none of these as apparently they had ran out of ink for there printer so we then had to look at there written board on the wall, which had fish chips added to it. We were then told by the waitress they had no chips lol but you can have potatoes, unbelievable for a pub to run out of chips. When our meals arrived it was quite disappointing for a Christmas dinner the Yorkshire pud was completely flat, but you did get vegetables served separately which were quite a good variety even though there wasn’t lots. We then went onto order our deserts Once again to add disappointment they didn’t have any crème brûlée so the choice was just Xmas pud with brandy butter or ice cream. So one of my friends could only have ice cream as she’s gluten free who always fancies that on a cold day, me my other friend had the Xmas pud that was served in a pie dish which was not very appealing or professional looking it was served with custard not the brandy butter like the menu said. We did complain as my friends Xmas pud was also lukewarm they did kindly apologise warm it up. Because we complained they did take some of our bill. But I don’t think we will be visiting again anytime soon."
