"I walked into the restaurant on Saturday, January 21st around 9 o'clock and got a table for 4 before heading to the bar. There were 2 people serving, and they were both busy making cocktails for a group of 8 ladies on a hen night. Despite having to wait, the atmosphere was relaxed. A man walked up to the bar next to me, and the girl serving finished making the cocktails for the ladies before pouring him a pint. When I asked if she was going to serve me next, she apologized and said she would get to me next. I decided not to wait and left the establishment. I will not be returning to this pub. It seems that only young friends of the staff are being served, and it's unfortunate that this kind of behavior is contributing to the decline of the pub industry."

Aggressive staff. Intimidating, rubbish atmosphere. Horrible place. Would definitely not recommend. No need for such hostility

Brilliant Sunday roast for a fiver. Typical local pub with no frills. Always head here on a Sunday when we’ve stayed over in Glasgow

Well it would have been nice to be acknowledged and served waited 10 mins then left. Dirty table at number 6 table also. Seemed to be only serving locals.

We stopped by this bar, located across from our hotel, on a Friday evening for a drink before dinner. The interior was clean and inviting, and the drinks were reasonably priced. The bar was bustling with locals, creating a lively atmosphere. View menu

Just not really for me bit of a tired looking old man’s bar in the early afternoon. We only came in for a drink but staff appeared polite when customer facing and not so demure when shouting at each other over the Christmas decorations, haha! Sorry, but for me, it just didn’t hit the mark.

Stayed at the Travelodge and looked at what bars were local for a late night tipple. I thought this might do but looked a little rough on Google. However, great bar with friendly staff and a good pub atmosphere. 1 minute from the Hilton Double Tree too. If you need a brief beer or glass of wine the place to go. View menu

I was recommended this restaurant by some of my old university friends, who used to frequent this spot in Glasgow. They mentioned that there is a karaoke night here, so I might bring my mom along sometime. When we arrived at 7pm, the atmosphere was lively with a mix of students and older gentlemen. We ordered some reasonably priced Tennants and they tasted fresh, which was a pleasant change after a bad pint I had the night before at another bar. The restaurant is centrally located, making it easy to hop from bar to bar. The toilets were clean, but the fish tank was a bit murky - I hope the fish are okay in there.

I was Very happy with my visit to Jackson 's. My only criticism would have been that portions were too big but a bonus for many haha. My other half thinks he 's a bit of a burger aficionado and we have paid some silly prices for him just to say 'nah, I wouldn 't get that again ' but he actually enjoyed this one and was happy it wasn 't stacked ridiculously high. The main reason for the review though is that the staff were very pleasant and deserved a tip. We as bad customers though, did not leave one. We had no cash on us and partner didn 't ask them to add one to bill. Place was quiet early Sunday evening with sports on TV (another bonus for partner) and a Juke box in back ground.
