"I was Very happy with my visit to Jackson 's. My only criticism would have been that portions were too big but a bonus for many haha. My other half thinks he 's a bit of a burger aficionado and we have paid some silly prices for him just to say 'nah, I wouldn 't get that again ' but he actually enjoyed this one and was happy it wasn 't stacked ridiculously high. The main reason for the review though is that the staff were very pleasant and deserved a tip. We as bad customers though, did not leave one. We had no cash on us and partner didn 't ask them to add one to bill. Place was quiet early Sunday evening with sports on TV (another bonus for partner) and a Juke box in back ground."

Aggressive staff. Intimidating, rubbish atmosphere. Horrible place. Would definitely not recommend. No need for such hostility

Brilliant Sunday roast for a fiver. Typical local pub with no frills. Always head here on a Sunday when we’ve stayed over in Glasgow

Well it would have been nice to be acknowledged and served waited 10 mins then left. Dirty table at number 6 table also. Seemed to be only serving locals.

With so many eateries trying newfangled ways to present the humble burger the kitchen at Jackson's get it spot on. Perfectly cooked, thick patty with just the right amount of fresh salad and a healthy portion of fries. View menu

Just not really for me bit of a tired looking old man’s bar in the early afternoon. We only came in for a drink but staff appeared polite when customer facing and not so demure when shouting at each other over the Christmas decorations, haha! Sorry, but for me, it just didn’t hit the mark.

Although only 100 metres off Sauchiehall Street this place offers a great Sunday roast for only a fiver. Quirky decor and lovely big windows onto the street make it a good place to enjoy a meal and a drink. Very close to 3 hotels and popular with some of the guests as a cheaper alternative. View menu

Stayed at the Travelodge and looked at what bars were local for a late night tipple. I thought this might do but looked a little rough on Google. However, great bar with friendly staff and a good pub atmosphere. 1 minute from the Hilton Double Tree too. If you need a brief beer or glass of wine the place to go.
