"2 of my friends and I wandered on a Monday evening to dinner in the city of jerk, I was quite surprised to say the least at the bad level of the service entering. we sat and gave a menu and then not seen, for 5-10 minutes, we were then told to go into the refrigerator to get our drinks, the refrigerator is constituted only by sugary soft drinks and bottled water. Finally, our order was taken, I asked for a starter and was simply said no, at which point the waiter on the main dishes on the menu. ok, I will have jerk huhn and chips. the food was approx. 5 minutes later, and not too much of a shock, it was pretty poor. the chicken wasn't even in the smallest bit...read more"

No frills, no messing. Decent, authentic Caribbean cuisine, good portions and good value to boot.

Clean and tidy establishment, serving fabulous authentic food with a smile. I had the Curry Goat with rice and peas, which was excellent, the most tender and succulent meat I've had in a long time.

eating was very good. I tried both grill and backpackers. several options available for pages that is a plus. eat very tasty. service was nice, but they should be more efficient to clean the tables of previous costumers. the restaurant has a relaxed environment.

what a beautiful meal! I have the curry goat (that was absolutely fantastic! and a jerk dumpling (they were made as we ordered so that we saved it for the end of our meal and my sister had the jerk chicken. neither of us could mistake our meal times when they were delicious. the service was also great and a very good price. will definitely come back when I am in london. My family and I stopped by this restaurant for a casual dinner, and we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious the ackee and saltfish were. The service was exceptional, and the staff were able to quickly rectify a small issue with a fishbone by providing a complimentary marshmallow. It's rare to find a local, authentic jerk restaurant, but this place definitely fits the bill. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to London. - Sam

I have been going to JC on and off for about 6 years. It used to be good but the last 2 years have been disappointing. It's been worse since the refurb. The Jerk chicken is ALWAYS re-heated in the microwave. I've ordered it twice and had to send back twice. Jerk sauce is bland and not authentic at all. I usually order the curry chicken and I've seen it dwindle down to a bland curry colourless mess. After today's visit I'm done with JC. Can't do microwaved re-heated food. I won't even comment on the lack of customer service but for a cheap feed, I don't expect much.

joyce’s jerk joint is a little jewel in wardour street a great place to escape the hectic trubel of the bustling oxford street. I came to lunch with my daughter, we were warmly welcomed that we have penetrated the menu while we hear the sounds of bob marley. eating came freshly boiled cake hot. the plant rot was divine, filled with fresh definitiw not frozen veg. the chicken cure with pumpkin rice is a tasty bite for the palate, beautifully seasoned with delicate chicken stables. the sides of the Mac cheese-coleslaw were totally delicious. in any case is happy to go back for more. halal! if you look at the place online and read some reviews, I thought why not give it a jump. I was not impressed by the place at all with its back ally look and feel in soho. Despite the first impressions I soon discovered to be hardly a restaurant. 0 service and its beats eat. But I had buffalo wings as appetizers, which was very tasty. the main course was turkey and joking with a lot of sauce. it was delicious with the crunchy top well flavored, but it had this taste it was not as fresh as I would have liked. but it was not very expensive, so got what I paid. will I visit again? I will, if I'm in the opposite.

I was here three times with the same order (a simple bark pattie). the first time, the cashier was rude to me to talk on the phone while I took my order and rushed me. when I left, I heard them when I helped the customers behind me, and sound really happy to do it! I went back to the second time because I really would stop going somewhere because a bad experience? the maid was on the phone for age groups and has not served me at all (what I understand, but then this place has to hire more staff so that they can manage the restaurant better. when she finally served me, I returned to my office; when I arrived, I noticed that she was instead of a godfather...read more

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
