"We chose Jessie's to meet an old friend, who we hadn't see for over twenty years. It turned out to be the perfect place. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome, and the relaxed atmosphere was perfect for the occasion. The service was very friendly, and our waiter was very understanding of how long it took us to even start to look at the reassuringly short menu. The menu choices were all tempting, with many of the ingredients locally-sourced. We all had different starters mains, and all really enjoyed our selections. The desserts (local) cheese biscuits were of a similarly high standard. The range of vegetarian options were somewhat limited, but the available dishes were very tasty. There was at least one for each course. We ended up being the last people in the restaurant, and felt welcome to stay as long as we wanted, with no hint that it was time to go. Highly recommended."

Poor slow service,. No one welcomed us, waitress tried hard but too busy to give any attention to detail. Food ok, certainly not sirloin steaks.

This was a really excellent meal with some original combinations and good choice of ingredients. We left feeling satusfied but not stuffed, which is always a good sign. Service was a little slow and prices were a little high, but overall a good experience and we will be back.

Jesse's was a friendly establishment with pleasant ambiance and good food, in the heart of a lovely city, we we made to feel most welcome, and given as much time as we wanted, the al a cart menu is small but well thought out, with something for most tastes, all together as good experience ...

A very close friend and I spending a weekend in the Cotswolds, selected your restaurant for Sunday Lunch as I had read about it in Cotswold Life. We were both very impressed with the location, the excellent use of space in the restaurant and garden. We were welcomed and shown to an excellent table where we enjoyed a superb lunch. A brilliant experience which will live long in the memory.

We had booked an early table 7pm and found ourselves the only people for almost an hour so our general feeling did not start off well. I'd booked Jessie's because our restaurant of choice was fully booked from 6pm till after 9. The food was good but I felt that it was top notch prices for only ok food. Bread and olives, no starters, no dessert, no wine, three tonic waters and one gin and four main courses ended with a bill of over £130. Unlikely to visit again.

I have been eating at Jesse Bistro for as long as I can remember. The chef cooks within his means so everything always works, the ambience is created by honouring one of those classic nooks and crannies of a building you find down an alley way in an ancient English town and the staff are always amiable and welcoming. I had the cheese shuffle and the lamb which was cooked slowly and was very tender. My friend had the naughty burger and the chips (well I stole one) and it was superb.

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
