"This restaurant is exceptional. It is exactly what I want to eat when craving traditional German Austrian food. (Like all places there is so much bad food out there. Our German friends had been here before and we were lucky as we never would have stumbled across it on our own. It's right off of a busy road but you forget that quickly as you sit outside in the patio. There is a playground right onsite which was great for the kids Plus a Kids menu. My husband had the roast venison with braised red cabbage and they happily substituted bread dumplings for the hush puppies. I had the special roast pork with bread dumplings and sauerkraut. Also side salad a small one would have honestly been plenty for two of us to share. Our little one has the kid's schnitzel and kid's bread dumpling with meat sauce. Not a crumb or drop left!"

"This is quite a large restaurant in one of the St Gilgen hotels. It's a large nice, rustic and unpretentious dining room, visited by mostly, visitors in St Gilgen. They had a large selection food, of different style and price range. So that one could have a sandwich, a burger or snack for lunch, or a nice meat and fish dish in the evening. Traditional austrian and mainstream dishes, or just a drink. The visitors where all kinds of people, families with children, groups of young people, groups of german or american middle age tourists, etc. And the staff were very nice and friendly. All I ate there was good. And it appears a nice place to just spend an evening while staying in St Gilgen."

"I didn 't realise this was anything more than a cafe serving tea/coffee and cake. I think we may have used the cafe on the side. The cafe is small and comfortable and very trendy with very friendly staff. Tea is served 'deconstructed ', you get acupuncture...of hot water, the tea bag is served on the side in a little dish. You also get a little piece of chocolate cake. The whole thing is served with a small jug of warm milk, all served on a wooden serving tray. The cafe is very trendy with an eclectic mix of furniture and outside seating selling a range of 'felt ' based gifts with ceramics. Very nice place. I would very much recommend a visit."
