"Out of all the currywurst places I tried in Berlin, Bier 's Kudamm was my least favorite (darn you, outdated tourist map that I will never refer to for food recommendations again (I should have read the Yelp Reviews first! . As currywurst is a street food, the majority of places serving this Berlin-born favorite are small stands. Not this place though. It has a strange sort of restaurant/stand hybrid: the space is operates completely indoors (save for a couple patio tables , but the tables are mostly made for standing like at the outdoor eateries. The kitchen was busy cooking and chopping away, so within 30 seconds of my order at the counter, the food was out. The lady didn 't seem particularly happy about me adding a soda to my order after she hadn 't heard me well enough the first time. Also, remember that their non-alcoholic drink portions are much smaller here so the bottle of Coke I got, barely 5 sips. Take it slow. The currywurst itself was okay, but there was way too much ketchup drowning it and not enough curry. The good part of the meal were actually the fries and mayo, it 's rare that anyone will every get Pommes mayo wrong in Germany. I got in and out of there luckily before a long line of people came. Given the location in the busy shopping district, not surprising. However, it 's tucked away from your line of view if you 're approaching on the sidewalk, so you might miss it. But really, you aren 't missing too much since there are way better places to get a bite to eat on the go in this part of Berlin. 3.5 for BK 195."

I ordered the Currywurst from here. It's a bit away from town and you definitely have to go out of your way to get there, the Currywurst was good but I didn't think it was worth going out of your way for.

I rarely put a bad review but one thing I cannot tolerate is racism. Our server was in her 40-50s, she visibly was upset with us speaking English. She understood us well but did not respond, bypassed us and got orders of folks behind us in the line who spoke German in a clearly tourist area. Icing on the cake was that she refused to return my change and aggressively commented that I was in the wrong and gave her a €10 bill even though I just handed her a €20. Food was good but this experience ruined it. I would hope the restaurant takes action and not tolerate this specially in a touristy area.

I grew up in Germany in the small city of Coburg where there was a schaschlik place that we went to as a treat or indulgence. To me schaschlik reminds me of a happy and fun childhood in a very special place and something I 've been seeking out since I left the country and was never able to find. Fast forward 40 years(! and when I came to Berlin last month, I had to have some. Now I 'm not going to pretend that this one had an unbelievable taste or represents the pinnacle of schaschlik making, but it was very tasty and perfectly serviceable. The fact that this time I could enjoy it with a cold bottle of beer also added a new dimension to the experience and is a must. Prices were reasonable, s...

It wasn't love at first sight. After all, what do I have to do with this post war dish of a pork sausage dipped in ketchup and sprinkled with curry powder. So it wasn't love at first sight, so what, what's wrong with taking your time, going through the moves and then falling in love. Well, if not falling in love at least falling into a tradition. And if tradition is what we are talking about this is a great spot for one. So overcrowded, sometimes, overrated, probably, expensive, well drop the Moet and you'll be fine. Maybe it was just because it was my first place and firsts take a special place in our lives. Or maybe the picture of a guy with a silly smile holding a hitler's bronze head cel...

My aunt brought us here and I had currywurst for the first time. I ordered it with frites and mayonnaise to get the whole experience. I had a bit of a kebab, which was tasty. When I first heard about currywurst, I couldn't really wrap my head around the idea of curry powder with sausage and ketchup but once I tasted it, it made sense. The fries were nice and crispy but they were drowning in ketchup and mayo. I'm only assuming that's how it's served traditionally because I don't have anything to compare it to. Despite the condiment drowning, I liked it anyway. It was late at night on a weekday so there weren't a lot of people around besides a few couples and some guys stopping by for a quick...
