King George V - Menu

A great family roast dinner. Good value for money. Manager (Leon) was a great host. Would definitely return.

Gosh what a soul less place . Then again it could be due to the rude manager Leon as it appears he has few people skills.

Lovely old pub. Great beer selection, and lovely staff. The food was nice. Definitely worth a visit if you like your real ale :

We stayed here for the hopper beer festival. What a super pub a great range of ales. A wonderful host, the bedroom with the most comfortable 4 poster bed. We had a great time, got drunk slept well perfect

.... but the alternative meal we had was well worth it, Steak and ale pie and mash with delicious gravy, both my partner and I had the same and both enjoyed it immensely, will definitely make a habit of coming here, look forward to the roast next Sunday, good old fashion pub bought back memories of my navy days.

After researching the local area for places to stay, I 'm so glad we chose the king george...... I thought pubs like this were long since extinct! Massive thanks to Leon, sylvia, chris, denise, LIZ, angelica for making our 7 week stay in Kent absolutely fantastic.... GOOD!!! I couldn 't recommend this place enough!! If you want to feel like part of the family, and laugh like you have never laughed before with a pub of pure diamond geezers Then I strongly suggest you book a room in the king george V!!!.... I can honestly say (being from leeds) every time I 'm working any were near London I 'll be stopping at the king george!!!! Cheers guys! Can 't wait to see you all again!!

The landlord of this pub organises a yearly local beer festival which we attended a month ago. The festival programme included an invitation to visit the pub and obtain a 20% discount on food, for up to a group of four, on production of the programme. This we did and we were not disappointed.The roast Lamb and Beef was expertly cooked to a succulent tenderness, accompanied by crispy golden roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and four veg.,all washed down with a brilliant pint of Harvey's Best Bitter. It proved a difficult choice when it came to dessert, we really wanted to try them all but finally settled on Sticky Toffee Pudding and Custard. +Great food+Lovely staff+Reasonably priced+Great atmosphere18 friend and I were hoping to find somewhere that would accommodate the lot of us and we were recommended KGV as a friendly pub that does 'steak night ' on a Thursday.When we arrived the staff were extremely welcoming and had gone out of their way to try and get all of us as close together as possible, even rearranging furniture for us!We enjoyed the fantastic ales and great, very reasonably priced food that, when you consider that the staff had to get 19 steaks out, all cooked differently, arrived very quickly.We stayed for a while longer before even being driven by the landlord to our next destination due to taxi issues something...

A local recommended this pub. Your small traditional English pub. Luckily, considering it was a Saturday evening, there was table room for our party of 8. The staff was very accommodating with our orders. The menu is very basic which you would expect for a pub like this. The only negative is that the menu does not cater for vegetarians. One of our party is a vegetarian and as there was no options for him, we had to ask the chef if something could be rustled up of which the chef obliged, making jacket potato, cheese and beans. There is also no desert menu either. There was background music but it stayed just that 'background ', allowing myself and my party to be able to have conversations and...
