"The food was excellent, the service was the same. You'd think that was enough but it's not. If I'm taking my family out for a meal and spending £240 I want it to be comfortable as well. Sat at our table for 6 we were constantly having to talk over people either having a drink or waiting for a table stood literally 2 foot from where we were sat. Either stood or sat at the two barstools adjacent to our table. Bar stools in a dining area? This is a charming , historic pub and we want you to thrive but if the price is a poor dining experience as this was we won't be back. I'd love you to reassure me you know what I'm talking about and what will be done to avoid a repeat or we won't be back."

I had never been to this restaurant before, but my girlfriend and I decided to try it out. The service was excellent, very attentive, and the food was outstanding. It was one of the best pub meals I have ever had. The atmosphere at this charming old pub was great, and I would highly recommend it. The price per person is around £30-40. Food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect 5-star rating.

The staff at the restaurant were very polite, but they made mistakes with our order. We had to go to the bar to get our drinks, which we had ordered with our food. They also didn't offer vinegar and tomato sauce, which we consider to be basic requirements. We were a bit disappointed, so we decided to skip dessert. However, the pub itself has been beautifully refurbished. Overall, we would rate the food a 3, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 4.

We held a celebratory lunch for 13 guests here today 29th of December. I messed up on numbers and booked for 11. 2 more place settings were added very quickly, with absolutely no fuss. Our drinks and food arrived promptly all meals were served together quite a mean feat with 13 people wanting various food). The attention shown to us was exemplary the food was to die for! Thank you to everyone for a smashing lunch time. 10/10 Well done. We will be back. Mr Mrs C Gunnell and guests.

We decided to give ourselves an early Christmas treat by having lunch at the ‘new’ Kings Arms which there had been so much publicity about in the local press. Our table was booked for 12 and we got there 5 mins early and found the pub was locked. We wanted to have a traditional turkey dinner but the choice was a turkey parcel filled with sage and onion stuffing. My wife asked if she could have one without stuffing but this was not possible so she had to have the mushroom wellington. The food was overpriced and the quality was average. A large glass of wine was £12.55! The pub wasn’t very festive at all. Overall a disappointment I’m afraid
