"Last night we were in company of family we haven't been seen for a while, six in total. My wife asked in her best English if there was a table for 6. And we were ignored the first time. The second attempt I went with my wife and we were told there was a table at the far back and to take it or leave. Than when our drinks were served the were just placed in front of my mum in law and we were left to serve our own. When our pizzas arrived, 3 large pizzas 40 cm in diameter, the were served on huge plates that didn't fit the table. The were almost put on each other if we hadn't said anything. Our pltes were t small for the slices, cause of the ray of the pizzas. There was only one stafmember who tried to serve u properly all other staf refused to speak any other language than German. What did we wrong? We ate and went after paying, but without any tips. Conclusion a total fail of hospitality! Just Rude!"

If we want to eat a good pizza, I'Osteria. We always order the huge pizza for 2 people with different fees. Just delicious! But we eat outside in good weather.

Unfortunately, we had to wait for pizza over an hour. Visit vwarcam 21.08.21. At least that would have been an extra. By the way, we are Lübecker and not tourists. That was absolutely underground. View menu

the restaurant L’Osteria (Italian cuisine) is located in the main entrance after the Holstentor portal in lübeck (Germany) and is a good opportunity to eat Italian food (pizza, pasta, suppe, salad) and beautiful beer and various drinks!

If you really love pizza- stay away! The One they serve is topped with cheap cheese, tasteless dough and tastes like something you buy frozen. Why they make them so big is hard to understand- twice the size of their plate. If only they were worth bringing home.. The staff were pleasant though, and quick to serve.

I was in this l’osteria for the first time. zaneta was my person for this evening and she was very friendly and had a smile on her face. she was very patient with me, even if the restaurant was full. I sat at the window and saw the sunset while I had my delicious pizza eating the pizza. I had beer to drink. so everything was in order. View menu

definitely recommend this restaurant! we arrived at 10:15 a.m. and while most other restaurants told us that their kitchen is closed in l’osteria, they treated us without a hurry and very welcoming. we ordered two sea pizza, a garnel and a tuna. both were amazing! very large for such a good price and very tasty! we're just going through town, or we'd have come back.

I’ve been to many L’osteria’s and I like their pizzas a lot but this one was overcrowded or understaffed because we waited for more than an hour to get our pizza on a Wednesday evening. Also, when we get wrong sized drinks, we had to pay for the bigger size and the waiter offered us an espresso to make it up. Just one of four of us got the espresso and the rest just watched weird experience.

"Luckily, Lübeck's old town is by no means poor at individual, perhaps even family-run cafes, which are not only branches of one of the dominant bakery chains, but also provide a much more personalized hospitality with their uniqueness and charm. I have already reported about a few, and in this collection, the Cafe Hansehof cannot be missed. The cafe is hidden in an inner courtyard that can be reached via the Wahmstraße. This location alone makes the cafe a secret tip for locals who long for a quiet time away from the crowds of tourists in the warm seasons, which of course come to the more exposed cafes. In addition to many seating in the inner courtyard, the interior located on two floors also delights the guest with a very lovingly designed interior, which has a lively and unique effect mainly due to many antique furnishings. This impression is also reflected in the mind of the operator pair. At lunch in May 2017, when I visited the Cafe Hansehof, the house owner Petra Roos took care of the service. The familial hospitality that she radiated on it immediately leads to a feeling of warm welcome that illuminates the mood and makes the stay all the more pleasant. In a nice conversation, I also learned that by 2015 she had already run a restaurant called Remise just a few houses away. After the termination of the lease, she (luckily for us Lübecker) remained the queen of the Hanse and has now found a new permanent place for her gastronomic heart project. In addition to cakes, breakfast arrangements and sandwiches, it is mainly an offer of many different hearty and sweet pancake dishes, which the Cafe Hansehof has written on the flags and has also become its flagship in Lübecker Gastronomy. These dishes also made me aware of the restaurant and should of course also be my food of choice. In the high north it certainly does not seem unusual that I chose a pancake creation with reference to the sea: a salmon pancake filled with smoked salmon, sour cream, fine apple slices, rag onions and some cream merrettich. (Please click on the picture to see it in the whole. I apologise for the not exactly good quality) salmon pancakes, filled with smoked salmon, sour cream, fine apple slices, rag onions and some cream horseradish. It was already noticed at the first touch that there was really thought about the composition and the court and this was prepared with just as much heart blood. The pancake dough was not too thick or too thin and made the filling tasteful space. There was no ingredient in this, but everything complemented each other in a very good relationship. The smoke aroma of the salmon, the light sweetness and acidity of the apple slices, the slight sharpness of the horseradish, the freshness of the Sour Cream and finally the bite through the onions. Only a small pinch of salt and maybe a few additional (maybe Dill suitable for salmon) would in my opinion be missing for a completely perfect composition. Even at the end of my visit, Fr. Roos concluded this with her great cordiality. After an interesting conversation about the pancake creation and their idea of specializing in such pancake dishes with the cafe, she actually didn't want to accept my tip because I was such a nice, friendly guest for you. Of course, I insisted on wanting to reward them for this great time in their cafe, but nevertheless: How often do you find such a hospitality nowadays? I just wish the Cafe Hansehof all the best and continued stability and success. I strongly recommend that everyone be convinced of the hospitality and the quality of food they have lived here. The cafe definitely deserves to be more than just a secret tip in the Lübecker Gastronomy ."
