"We went to Kofferfabrik because we had tickets for the "Rory Gallagher weekend". It is an alternative cultural centre and the atmosphere is very relaxed.The restaurant is one of its kind. There are very few chairs, most of the tables have couches where you can sit down. To be honest: I prefer a normal chair and dining table when I eat my food.When we entered the restaurant, most (if not all) tables were reserved, so we joined some people who were already there at their table. That was a nice experience. The strange thing was that after about an hour nearly all of the reserved tables were still empty!Food: nothing special. The "original" Wiener Schnitzel was far from original. The original comes with potato and cucumber salad, NO CHIPS!!!! The beer was good, especially the dark one."

all round a super experience...definitely worth a visit if you're in the area....tonight there was an exciting new band upstairs, a poetry slam in the basement and a full house in the Couch Club bar/bistro.

Kofferfabrik (former suitcase factory)is a place when you are on a budged. This is the place where alternative, liberal people meet up. It is a relaxed place with no luxury at all, used furniture. They have a disco, restaurant, bar, pool, a stage for bands at this premise. May look a little rough when you enter this place - don't worry, it's a safe place!
